What a fun, well-crafted tune. I particularly dig whatever you're doing to the vocal track. It has such a unique sound. Well done. Eric

Thanks! It's a sampled electric piano from Toontracks. I don't play keys - these are midi parts.

Thanks John!

What a cool tune! The harmony effect really works for this tune. I will have to learn more about it. I also dig your selection of instrumentation and the mix. It seems very dreamlike. Nice work.

Another well crafted, well played tune. -they always are. This one reminded me of some of the bands I followed in my youth. Well done! Minor comment - I think the bass sounds a little to antiseptic (for my tastes in this genre) Think: Gary Thain ?

Hey All - I don't ever remember running into this. I recorded three separate guitar tracks all using an Amplitube plugin to get that Fender tube amp sound - all worked great. I started a separate unrelated track, with no plugin inserted. And... the signal is definitely being routed through the amplitube plugin. I double and triple checked that this new track had no plugins and no sends. I rebooted the software, computer and the interface, No changes. I then turned off and on the amplitube plugins in each track and the new track is no longer being routed through the amplitube plugin. So - all good. But still confused. Any ideas, as to what is\was going on? -Eric

I really enjoying recording with a ribbon mic. I have a Cascade Fathead. I use it on guitar amps and woodwinds. The one thing I found I needed with a ribbon mic was more signal gain. My Focusrite Scarlett didn't really have enough gain for this mic. I ended up buying a Cloudlifter that is powered by phantom power. This did the trick for me.

Nice chill groove. Thanks for posting.

Nice tune. I really like how you transition through the various instruments. Great supportive bass line too! Hope you post some more in this genre.

This looks so cool. Has anyone here purchased this yet? If so, what do you think about it?

Here is a video that gives a nice introduction to basic automation in Cakewalk. Hope this helps! -Eric https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRJDnKUAAYk

I enjoyed listening to your tune. It's got a great vibe to it and the instrumental and vocal tracks are performed well. I have a few , very subjective, suggestions. The mix feels quite static, which is fine, but the song structure could benefit from a more active approach: some panning changes, variation of effects (delay, eq) . I also think a little bump in the low end would give the tune a little more power (I'm a bass player) ? Bottom line: it's a cool tune done well! Keep it up and submit more tunes please.
