Do you "doctor" your guitar picks? How? What picks?
Mesh replied to Christian Jones's topic in The Coffee House
Speaking of picks, Brian Walton suggested these Blue Chip Picks: I haven't tried this yet and not sure if I can really justify paying that price for a pick, but it seems to get good reviews. I generally use heavier/thicker picks (much cheaper ones ) and haven't had any issues with wear and tear (can't remember the brand name). -
Thanks Everyone!! Had a very happy B'day with the family. Cheers, Mesh

I think my current card is dying (temps around 71 degrees at normal/higher when gaming and now movies won't play). Also my main monitor (1080p) wasn't working (hooked up via HDMI) while the 2nd monitor is hooked up DVI/HDMI connector (both plugged into my graphics card). At times, I could hear the fan getting louder (especially when playing games). The card is also 6 years old. Any suggestions on a budget graphics card under $200? There are a lot out there and it's a little tough to pick one.I Mostly use it for DAW, movies, light gaming etc...but, would like it to pack a little power.

Fabfilter is also going to use this business model

Is there a music store where you can go and test it out? That way you can see/hear how it works. Before even using an amp sim, it's easy to dial in a nice thick tone with the Axe....then add a sim and you're bound to get a smile on your face.

Splash Sound's INDIE VOICES is $20 (was $47) until 6/13
Mesh replied to Reid Rosefelt's topic in Deals
Whoah!! Not sure if it's even worth the $20, but here's the link: https://splashsound.org/indievoices.html -
Where have all the Shagsters gone? DOH, it's hump day...

Interestingly, those are two of my passions.......I'm a jack of all trades, master on none. Clint Martin on the other hand, is very good at both. Haven't seem him around here.

I got the Axe last evening and after spending a brief 30 minutes, I'm very happy with the box. The difference between my 2i4 and the axe is night and day. With the axe, the tones are much more thicker and bolder than the 2i4....it's 'almost' like playing through a real amp. I still have to spend more time with Z-Tone and the interaction with the pickups, but all in all.....I really like this box. Using amp sims like Amplitube4 was a real treat to my ears. Just going through the presets of different collections sounded very good and was easily able to get 'chugging' along. With the 2i4, the sound was always very thin and there was so much tweaking and EQ'ing needed just to get a decent tone. Unfortunately, I only have used lower end audio interfaces to make this comparison, but anyone can easily hear the difference between the two. I'm very happy with this purchase and looking forward to spending more time with my Axe.

Glad to see yesterday was done with. Back to your usual selves...

That was quite beautiful Tim and enjoyed it first thing this morning. Not sure how Bach made music, but you've done a fine job here.

Not ever since Ms. Gradenko had a fall out with that demolition man.

Happy Birthday Bill!! I wish I had that scent of a new guitar, but I will have the scent of a new Axe I/O (whatever that scent is). BTW, Daryl and my B'day's are also in June (7th).

Good morning Gents!!

Thanks Mark. I did try uninstalling / reinstalling the drivers as well as trying out these beta drivers: http://beta.focusrite.com/ and still no luck. I also couldn't get the Odeus plugin to work (I could only download a Trial version and that also didn't work).....I appreciated the links you sent. Once I get home I'll check the Win10 update, but hopefully the new box will sort out a lot of this. Cheers, Mesh

Oh nice, I didn't know AAS would let you trade. I have the free serials for them from the Fabfilter EQ I recently got....so good news indeed!! I like the way they do business, and love their products. Thanks TTF.

I've been having big problems with dropouts lately (using my 1st gen 2i4) and didn't look into the Win 10 update as being a culprit (will check which version I'm running). I just purchased a new audio interface (IK's Axe) because of this dropout issue. Thanks Jack for the heads up.

Speaking of PG, apparently Elton John didn't want his movie to be PG as he needed it to be rated R (to correctly portray his life). Anyway, Happy Friday Ya'll!!

I'm surprised Peter hasn't chimed in....

Now math is definitely not my strong subject, but I'm guessing you meant $1.00 x 24 and add .67 at the end?

Waves Abbey Road Reverb plates are very good, but can be a bit of a CPU hog. Generally, most Waves stuff is very good.
