  1. I'm also interested in what you guys think of V2. I know it's only $10, but then again I haven't used V1 a whole lot either.
  2. When I see Samples from Mars, I see XO!
  3. Another good amp sim from Mercuriall is the SS-11X (IMO, very underrated). The clean tones are very pleasant/ responsive and the crunch/distortion are very nice as well (even at low volumes). It also came with some excellent IR's + greed smasher, and I also use their free Chorus pedal.....very, very nice all together. I found the best tones are using the 8x oversampling setting. Throw the Freqout pedal in front and this thing simply rocks!
  4. Absolutely!! It all started with Pigments 2 for me and ended up getting the whole V collection....they're all excellent synths.
  5. The ladder he's standing on got hit quite hard, but didn't fall.....must be a heavy fella.
  6. I say it's Beer O'Clock!! Happy B'day mate!
  7. When I have some time, I'd really like to get all my acoustic drum samples in 1 folder and try to use that for my rock creations. One thing for sure is whatever you put into XO, it just sounds excellent. I've been using XO with EZ Drummer together and got some very nice results. Would be fantastic if XLN could put a feature in to add all the Addictive drum samples in XO. It certainly has a lot of potential and I need to spend more time learning to use it.
  8. Not sure if this has been posted before, but good stuff.....love that bass tone (not to mention GD).
  9. Now he tells me....I could've got in on that VST Buzz deal for €1 each x 3.
  10. Ordered and installed!
  11. Is the best upgrade deal ($99) at ProAudioStar?
  12. I really like it and do use it. I have a samples folder with 65+ GB 's of sounds and it's a lot of fun using them with XO. Checkout https://samplesfrommars.com/ for some great content (I got the bundle "All the samples from mars"). They have deals/sales very often and you can get this dirt cheap.
  13. I don't think so ZT...I believe it uses proprietary files, however, you can export them as .wav files.
  14. I was actually able to get some good tones out if (watched some Utube vids) and also got that tone I wanted in the previous page on this thread (got the preset from Line 6 forums). However, had some issues with the Demo after 2 days (had to disable my internet connection , start the DAW, and then plug in the internet cable for it to get back online). THEN, I was able to play for another day, and got this error (VST3 as well as VST2): Uninstalled/reinstalled etc...no luck. Possibly just a demo issue, IDK. Put in a trouble ticket last Friday, but haven't hear back yet....if they can resolve this and I won't have any issues, I'm willing to test it a bit further and/or may buy it. Helix does have the ability to get great tones, but it does need some tweaking to get there. Of course, it shouldn't be crashing my system in the process...lol. Still on the fence... Found Jason Sadites setup tips to be very useful
  15. Glad to see you back Larry!! Missed seeing you here. On a different note, I noticed I seem to have more cash in my wallet. ?
  16. Bapu's truly a good guy and there's a whole lot of stuff he does that's unbeknownst (had to look up that spelling) to most peeps. Of course, in a good way.
  17. Peter, any deals coming up on this? Summer is a great time for some Satch Boogie!
  18. I have the original 750 pro and really liked them for a good 10 years. I still have them, but one side has lost it's sound (possibly a loose connection) and I ended up buying Audio Technica's M50x. The 750's were very detailed/accurate especially in the mid-high range and wasn't very bass heavy as the ATM50's. I was using them solely for recording/mixing and found them to be well balanced. The ATM50's does sound more pleasant to the ear, but don't quite represent the mix correctly. Not sure how good the newer 750i's are, but I imagine they should be very good considering the quality parts/testing they put into their head phones. Not sure if I should get a new pair of 750i's (not that I need it) or fix my old set.....decisions, decisions.
  19. Taupe is a very good one. Yes, it does have a lot of knobs with a matching price tag.
  20. That's about how I found it as well. Craig Anderton however, gave a good review.....but then again, he's definitely a knob twiddler. Looks like I would have to spend a bit of time to get the tone I want. That being said, some of the presets did sound pretty good straight off the bat, and others were just meh.
  21. Been demoing this for a few days and for the most part, do like how it sounds. There seems to be a lot of tweaking possibilities and I've only just scratched on the surface. Those of you that own this, would like to hear your opinions/thoughts on it as well as if it every goes on sale.
