Cakewalk (not responding) with the latest update
Mesh replied to Mesh's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
As with anything things could always be better, but considering all the work that's been put into BandLab for free.....we have a LOT to be thankful for. I've seen more updates/bug fixes/support from the current folks at BandLab than when it was a paid version. So, I'm very grateful for all that they do (even if they shut down today). Back on topic: it looks like Windows Update is the culprit in my case and not Cakewalk software. -
Cakewalk (not responding) with the latest update

Still no luck.....don't know how to fix this. Although it says 'Pause for 7 days', I have it set for 5/18/20 in Advanced Options. I'm guessing I have to wait until tomorrow for the update to take place? I also Googled and did the Microsoft recommendations (check SDD disk space, set Metered Connection etc...) but still no luck. -

I'm having a tough time updating as it's saying 'Your connection is roaming. We'll try again later automatically.' Googling atm to find a way to fix the roaming part... -

Hi John, Yeah it worked. Should I try an older version and if yes, where can I find it? -

Hi all, I installed the latest version of Bandlab and when clicking on Cakewalk icon, it tries to run and then it just shuts down after a few seconds. I reinstalled the drivers to my audio interface (Axe I/O, reinstalled Bandlab Assistant , rebooted) still no luck and same result. This has never happened before, so not really sure what else I can do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Using Win10 Prox64 i7-3770k 16GB Ram SSD boot drive & another for samples HDD for projects Cheers, Mesh

Have to check this out....downloading the demo.

I also downloaded the Modular Pulse, Pure Resonance , Analogue Drummer, and Electron Reactor Demo (their flagship product??).... all their videos sounded very good and musical. I like the concept of pulse engine instruments and might look into getting the full version of Electron Reactor.

I really like XO and it's a fun instrument to just play around with. If you'd like to add more samples, check out https://samplesfrommars.com/products/all-products-from-mars?variant=376105238534 I have their everything bundle (around 45GB) and got it for under $15 IIRC. My drum sample folder is about 55GB, so there's enough there to keep me busy for sometime.

Personally, I liked the "Dry" signal more than with the Yowlseq. ...YMMV.
