You clearly never listened to Devin Townsend. It's literally Enya meets progressive metal. -
This plugin has nothing on SmartElectronix' Anechoic Room Simulator.

Yes, but those have educational material available for them which is easy for people without MIDI knowledge to learn. Let's take BBCSO Discover. Even if you have almost no idea of what you're doing, you can figure out how to get half decent results out of it. -

There are some demos from other places, but it seems to be one of those softwares that you have learn to make it sound good: -

Nokia missed the boat way earlier than that. They said "no" to Android when it was in its infancy then had no other place to go once everyone was buying those new fangled smartphones and iPhones instead of their devices. They literally went from being the largest mobile phone company in the world to nothing in a few years and had no choice but to sell to Microsoft, which then sunk them further and eventually extinguished the brand. -
After taking a look, I couldn't find anything in the documentation or in the forum. Essentially, I'm wondering if it's possible to create articulations which present a gradual increase over their duration or after finding a related event. That would be interesting for implementing things like hairpin dynamics for orchestral libraries or even things like pitch bends and the like. While those could be probably done in the controller pane, there are several issues with it which make it less desirable than using the articulation maps.

Wait until they learn other companies offer up to 5 licenses or you can use the software in as many machines you want as long as you don't use them at the same time. -

You could also get Orchestral Tools SINE Factory Rotary, which is free and gives you pretty decent big band sounds. -
Looking at Avid's financial reports explains why they sold out. They were not profiting that much (last figure shows an operacional cost of about 200k with about 400k of profits) and were spending quite the sum on marketing alone. The report also talks about loss of profit and sales in places.

Other alternatives include Famistusio, which is a cross platform (Windows/MacOS/Linux/Android) sequencer made to specifically do chiptune music: Plugin-wise, you have 8-Bit treats from SocaLabs, which gives you emulations of the NES, Master System, Gameboy and SID. Also free: https://www.tracktion.com/products/8bit-treats For Nintendo 64, your best bet is finding the soundfonts of games which make use it of them, which are game specific.

I don't see where any of the influences are apart from them being used for the interface and marketing reasons. The Gameboy and N64 are almost diametrically opposed in terms of sound architecture. The Gameboy uses a 4-channel synth design similar to the NES but more limited whilst the N64 can do ACPDM audio at sample rates up to 44.1k as well as MIDI controlled soundfonts.

At least on their last report, they list an operational cost of around 250k with profits of about 400k, which is not a lot considering the size of the company and the amount of products they sell. I was refering more to Avid's 2022 finantial report https://ir.avid.com/static-files/2c6b49ef-aa5c-4f5d-ae9f-5ef61271aad7 Around page 40, they list their gross revenue and operational costs.

We don't have to speculate that. Avid is a public traded company and their financial records are public. https://ir.avid.com/financial-information One point of concern here is that I did some quick research and STG only owns stuff which has nothing to do with music. While that doesn't necessarily mean they'll screw the pooch, it doesn't paint them in a good picture.
