  1. 2 PA codes you will actually use.
  2. CbB thinks thers is 3500+ plugins and instruments installed on my system. It's an exaggeration, of course, as some waves plugs have up to a dozen variants of the same plugin. But still that's a lot. I tend to use plugins by Waves, IKM, PA and Overloud besides ProChannel modules. And that's quite a few options already. Maybe they are. Maybe not. It depends on one's needs, impressions, demands, etc. My needs are fully met with what I already have.
  3. His Soldano sim is plain awesome! I use it with Celestion IRs and it sounds killer!
  4. I don't think simplicity is the right term here, but what do I know?! What you've described is yet another reason why I avoid using bx ampsims. Yes, they render the sound with great precision and detail but it takes too long to get there. After lots of tweaking the sound is as fine and smooth as a ...grave stone! And I just wanted it to be alive and breathing. Currently TH-U is my go-to ampsim, particularly the Rig Player with additional libraries.
  5. ReValver has a version of this amp, too. Give it a shot!
  6. I'd most probably get it for $99 with split payments, but for $199 I can't justify buying this. And I'm not sure if I would actually use these plugins because in comparison to similar plugs by other brands these don't win it for me. Except for the gorgeous plate reverb, which was free.
  7. ROFL! This thing is truly modeled after a vintage piece of gear. The broken one.
  8. I wanted to get their Engl amps so much, especially the E765 RT, thinking it would be my one and only go-to amp-sim. Simply because I like the real amp a lot. Well, the plugin version quickly became a huge disappointment. I almost never open it and surely never use it in projects. Not sure why. It just sounds and feels wrong. Hope this one is better, but definitely not willing to pay the intro price.
  9. Transparent doesn't always mean better. Also turning knobs relatively high or low is typical for analog gear. Sometimes to sound good you have to go to extremes on some mixers. If you like the sound, unusually high numbers are OK.
  10. Punk bass, perfectly tuned, for $80?
  11. Now we are talking! Got it immediately.
  12. I'm tempted to buy it with their split payment offer, $50 per month in 4 months. Please, talk me out of this!!!
  13. There is such thing as Marshall Code amp. All gear emulations are developed by Softube. I played it a few times. IME, Softube amp sims are no go. YMMV.
  14. No, not yet. Just payed for 1177, though. Why?
  15. Looking forward for your comparison. Overloud stuff is really good. I regret missing the sale on the EQ84. Gotta keep an eye on their plugins and sales.
  16. Instant buy this time. Haven't even demoed it. I know it's good.
  17. If we were talking about the real amp, I'd say it's sounds great for metal and is good enough for everything else. But in the virtual environment it's just another plugin capable of nice hi-gain tones and some clean and crunch sounds as well. Not better or worse than other plugins. FWIW, you can buy Diezel Herbert amp model for ReValver for only $7.99.
  18. iLok dongle is required https://drumforge.com/pages/getting-started-with-drumforge-sampler
  19. Oh, c'mon! They talk about hybrid modelling roughly as good as a (huge) number of samples in GB. Synthedit is a no go for me, though.
  20. I buy TH-U rigs once a month or two. Not too challenging for my wallet. There are quite a few gems in both amp and cabinet profiles. Although I prefer Overloud's libraries, some libs by Choptones are definitely must-haves. This particular library stirs no interest in me because I've already bought a set of Ecstasy knock-off profiles and because there is a Bogner Ecstasy model in the latest TH-U version.
  21. Add fancy studio booking, famous engineers' fee and even the full price will seem like non-existent.
  22. Silver version used to be free a while ago. Then Magix pulled it off. Now it's available again.
