A bit harder and rougher than my usual stuff, but this is what I love to make. Perhaps I should have upped the tempo a bit, lesson learned.

This weekend only: Sounds of KSHMR Vol. 4 for half the price
Nick Blanc replied to audioschmaudio's topic in Deals
If this is your genre, KSHMR's samples are at the top. -
Fun! I also see a "New Synths Bundle TURBO-XT | STRANGER | FLUID" for $49. But you can't click anywhere to see what it is. It seems like 3 extra banks? Edith: found it:

It was a gift from a good friend of mine ánd I promised another good friend of mine who lives in Australia that I would wear it more. My arms were twisted!

Take your time, it is much appreciated.

Featuring a koala buckethat! Because looks are important ?. I had a slow LFO on the filter cutoff of the MS-20 mini, which turned out great to speed up during the track. The unsynced effect gives it a nice character. I think I used the same Malevolent patch as last week, so a bit lazy from my part. The kick came out nice though. Enjoy ?

That's a nice statement I haven't heard before. As many sounds as there are stars. Cool!

Tracktion F.'em + Bass Odyssey Expansion Bundle $29.00
Nick Blanc replied to JT music's topic in Deals
Oh crap! I pulled the trigger, not realising I already had this one. If anyone was buying this, you could do me a huge favor by taking it of my hands. Edit: It's a serial which you can redeem at the Tracktion website. -
Tracktion F.'em + Bass Odyssey Expansion Bundle $29.00
Nick Blanc replied to JT music's topic in Deals
The deal is great, lowest was $24, so you essentially get the lowest price + a $5 expansion. -
Perhaps redundant, but it's not important that I can recreate a certain curve with ProQ of my stock EQ. Sure I can. Sometimes I like to work without a graphical EQ to just use my ears. Sometimes I like the way the curves from a certain EQ are for a certain frequency range (Maag high end, Pultec lowend, etc.). I could probably match those curves if I was proficient enough, remembered all the curves and was willing to spend the time. But I don't. So I use different EQ's. There, lot's of money spending justified.

Not a deal ( but deal adjacent) Behringer Article
Nick Blanc replied to dubdisciple's topic in Deals
I believe the flack is mostly due to Behringer's, let's say, somewhat unfortunate online responses. I've said it before, the critique is more often than not hypocritcal. There are arbitrary lines being crossed when someone says all 'cloning' is bad, or just for products that are still in production, etc. Warm Audio makes a lot of 'clones' (or inspired by...) and is getting praise. I don't think the VST argument is any good, but there is certainly some bias.- 1 reply

I already have https://www.wavealchemy.co.uk/product/pulse/ and it's not my favorite sound. Skip.

And here we are! Thank you.

I did something I wasn't really comfortable with, writing my own lyrics. And not just some random words which would sound cool. Actual lyrics. It's in Dutch and the translation is in the description. I'm still a bit apprehensive, but it's out now. Enjoy!

NuGen Audio ISL 1 Real Time True Peak Limiter for $25!
Nick Blanc replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
They have quality stuff, but does anyone have any experience with this one? -
I used it immediately today on a jam (online next week). It doubles as a nice idea machine. Haven't tried a lot but I like it so far.

Looks cool. I bought it. I find myself more often than not automating my arpeggios with envelope followers or LFO's and having a dedicated plugin for that on top of the more options it has than the somewhat limited Ableton arpeggiator, could be a great addition to my workflow.

"We’re offering 50% off NUGEN Producer and all individual plug-ins until Wednesday 12 June, our biggest NUGEN Producer discount ever. It’s a fiesta, baby! And as someone who already owns some plug-ins from the bundle, you could save BIG on bundle completion - up to $900 versus buying the individual plug-ins." I checked my upgrade options and I could complete the Producer bundle for $164 which gives me Visualizer, ISLst, MasterCheck, SEQ-ST and Paragon ST extra.

Really depends on the genre. I produce hiphop beats on the side and I use Output stuff all the time. I use their fx often time in techno productions / livejams but they don't seem te be on sale.

Whoops, I was busy mixing my recording of yesterday and almost forgot to post this one. Well here we go. The Microcosm is a beautiful piece of kit. But to me the Malevolent won again. I don't know how (it has a mind of its own I swear), but it decided that it would do some weird unstable pitch fall thing. It immediately gave the whole track some extra character.
