  1. Very well done and professional performance and mix. Also - some very good guitar work.
  2. Excellent piece of work! I too liked the bass work (the drone throughout was perfect). Good guitar work and the music certainly complemented the video. BTW, cool ending both visually and musically.
  3. Hi Bjorn. I am most happy that it helped. Thanks very much for listening and taking the time to comment!
  4. Jesse - you post the most unique and interesting song on the forum. I love this one. I like that bass in the background - perhaps it could come forward just a bit?? Cool stuff pal!
  5. Loss of a love one is always tragic on a personal level. This is a very nice tribute to your brother. As far as the song ---- I love it. It has the style and sound of the Blues that the UK brought back to the USA back in the mid-1960's. This reminds me a bit of the sound and style of Peter Green's FleetWood Mack. A bit raw, a bit rough and definitely the Blues. Great stuff!!!
  6. Love it! This song does have a bit of a retro feel to it and as such I think your vocals fit very nicely. I did not hear the 1st version but this one sounds great and the harmonies add a real depth to this song.
  7. A beautiful song! Admittedly my geriatric ears are somewhat challenged but the mix sounds good to me!
  8. I agree with the above comments. It does have Sgt. Pepper quality to it. It is complex but certainly in the negative sense. Great performance, recording, mix, etc. Your harmonies were indeed excellent. This was indeed a listening pleasure!
  9. Hi Hidden Symmetry. Thanks for listening and the kind words. Ya, I decided to go back in the alley on this song and try to emulate some early 1960's styles. Hey tom. Yea, I finally got the verb right or at least close to where it should be. Thank you my friend. I always appreciate your suggestions! Hi KSband. Thank you very much!! I appreciate your taking the time to listen and comment. Hi Nigel. The uptempo must be the rockabilly influence on the Blues (maybe? lol?) As always I appreciate your taking the time to listen and thank you for the kind comments.

    Freakin Out

You have been exploring a number of different styles lately. This is an interesting and cool piece. Enjoyed it - well done!
  11. As a Blues loving guy, I can really appreciate this song. Reverb, what reverb --- nah. Remember this is coming from a guy that abuses the stuff. Great guitar and horns, and you captured the important part of the blues -- the rhythm! Very nice
  12. Not really my style of music but I certainly can appreciate the talent involved in the creation in such a piece. It certainly emotes considerable drama and emotion. BTW, being one who is exploring the South American AfroBeat style -- song length is certainly not a problem with me.
  13. Great to hear this "harder" very rhythmic version of the Pugtones. Love it!! Cool ending. Excellent work lads!!!

    Prisha - Video

Hey Bjorn! With or without the vocals this is an excellent piece of work complemented by a great video. Well done!!
  15. Excellent! Love your vocals and harmonies, Mark's guitar playing (of course) and the excellent arrangement. To repeat myself -- excellent -- all the way around!!!
  16. Here is a little song done up in a straight ahead Bluesabilly style. It expands (kind of) on the adage - when you fall off of your horse get back on it and start riding again. It is just for fun. I did back off on the vocal reverb ---- at least I tried ---- really, I did. There is no accounting for taste and the 'verb may still be a wee bit too much but I kind of like where it is. However, if I have over done it let me know. In fact all comments, crit.'s, suggestions, etc. will be much appreciated!!! Thanks! SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS https://www.soundclick.com/artist/default.cfm?bandid=963481
  17. Lots of very nice tempo changes in this number. Well done!!!!
  18. I love instrumentals! I really like that little stretch coming in about 1:10. I enjoyed the listen very much!
  19. Great song with a catchy melody. Your vocals and harmonies are great, as is your playing and mix. Love that bass!
  20. Hi John. If I can make anyone smile, then I feel that it is mission accomplished. Thanks much for listening and commenting.! Hi Daryl. I do tend to overdo it. I am going to put a little picture next to my monitor with the words REVERB inside a circle with a line through it. Thanks for listening and the suggestion. Hey Old Joad. Thanks for listening and kind comments! Hi Hidden Symmetry. Thanks you. I very much appreciate your comments. Hey Bjorn. I do music because I enjoy it and to enjoy it I have got to have fun. I am glad the fun comes out in some of my stuff. Thanks for the kind comments. Mark -- great to see you back on the forum!!! Thanks much for your most kind comments! I just listened (and commented) on your recent post and can only say Outstanding!! I am glad that you and Warren are collaborating and look forward to more music from the Pugtones!! It has all been said above. I can only add my kudos to a well performed, arranged, recorded and mixed creation. My comments are slightly biased for my appreciation of instrumentals.
  25. Hi Steve. I am very glad that you liked it and that it gave you that small venue feeling. I appreciate the kind words and encouragement!!! Hi Andy. I do tend to overuse reverb but I am still trying to figure out how it got on this song. Next time I pull up the file for this song I'll give the vocal and lead guitar a tweak. Thanks very much for listening and also for taking the time to comment. Hi Wookiee. Every once in a while the Blues and Bluesabilly overtakes me and I have to go "back in the alley" and get it out of myself. After all, it was my first love (musically that is). Thanks, as always, for taking the time to listen and comment!!! BTW, I loved you most recent post --- brilliant!!
