Oh no! They had the flash instagram sale last week so I assume it will be a regular thing. Worth keeping an eye out for as that was a pretty sweet deal
-
Weird! I just bought it 5 mins ago for 30 Euro as have discount codes EDIT: Yeah just saw on Gearspace that it was actually posted yesterday
-
Didnt see it mentioned but Acustica are doing a 24 hour flash Instagram sale on Desert for 49 Euros. Seems pretty good deal!: https://www.acustica-audio.com/store/products/desert

Ah I see haha thanks Larry!
-
Thanks Larry but still can’t see anything on sale, any clues as to specific plugins?
-
can't tell whats on sale, all seems full price. Nothing mentioned on that Instagram either? EDIT: Just got an email, says 'big deals are coming' so guess not live yet

Acustica Fire Filter - First of the Fire One Knob Series
tom replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Yeah very true, but at least algo devs have to go through the process of coding. Acustica just sample a unit and its done. I guess you're right though, thats the plugin business throughout and I'm just having sour grapes ? -
Acustica Fire Filter - First of the Fire One Knob Series

I used to love Acustica but the love affair has soured over the years. Just seem to be on a money grab all the time. Also the ethics of the thing, Behringer gets slammed, rightly so, for making money off the backs of designers who have toiled for years designing stellar equipment only for Behringer to clone it 1:1 and make a tidy profit. Doesnt Acustica do exactly the same thing? Sample other peoples hard work for profit? I’m probably just in a bad mood and at least these filters are their own box they’ve built and sampled -

€39 for filters is a bit daft -
TheZhe releases TheSplit - Free Multimode Splitter Plug-in 31st January 2022

very interesting utility plugin by description above, will test -
Bought, so many use cases. I used to use FXteleport a while back but that was 32bit. Not heard of ones above but I trust Blue Cat plugins and they are pretty robust
-
meh. Dont understand these emulations, can't push them into distortion. Too subtle for me
-
https://www.tbproaudio.de/products/ablm also very good, there’s a free one for reaper if I remember EDIT: just seen price of 49E, seems high for a utility plugin. Stick with Gainmatch, so good
-
According to Gearspace thread, extra 10% with code NOISEASHDISCOUNT10
-
I wouldn’t do this, have tried in the past and led to a lot of minor issues like plugins deauthorising, etc. Not worth the hassle. Acustica should really only give user option of downloading sample rates they want, massive bloat the current way
-
Yeah rubbish sale

Acustica and associates have done the meanest Christmas sale in a while. Prices have been waaay cheaper before
-
Wow, I haven’t bought a waves plug-in in years as hate the installer and activation but I’m all in at this price ? just picked up OVox, sweeet
-
Warning to Mac users that this does not work too well apparently, I’d check their forums first, seem like a lot of complaints. I bought this years ago and started using it again (on windows), I kind of like it but fills always sound really fake. Much prefer a decent midi file played by a real drummer instead
-
Gave this a try but I have no idea what I meant to be hearing, just sounds like different degrees of muffled sound. I think just for people with Atmos system to see how it translates on headphones or something, very small target audience surely??
-
I just bought Zebra after years of ignoring it and I love it. I used to get put off by workflow but sounds it can get are amazing . I bought Pigments same time too but have barely used, sounds a bit ‘cheaper’ compared to zebra. Early days yet though, I’m sure Pigments has depth
-
I urge people to try their guitar pre-amp sims, CPU hungry and a bit clunky but amazing realism. As its just a pre-amp, for authentic sound it needs to be paired with their PowerCabs product which uses Nebula player and so rules out live playing (too much latency). Regular cabsims work fine though
-
same, better hum removal was about all i read
-
I've actually gone down the rabbit hole of DIY hardware gear, lots of fun! I have a more hybrid workflow now and stick with Nebula libraries and quality algos along with hardware. I got sick of having to freeze tracks using CPU hungry Acustica plugins too

I’ve sold a lot of my Acustica plugs but will never sell Gold, lovely Neve sound. Not sure how much it’s on for but it’s a winner. Out of your list above, water and viridian have a lovely vintage coloured sound too
