I bought one of those pay now get 6 plugins for $XXX don’t remember the price but the Kirchhoff EQ was included. It might have cost $39. That would be the best way to get the Kirchhoff EQ. I have all the eqs mentioned here except the AIR. Which I still have some curiosity about. I like the pro q3 and the Kirchhoff EQ best. Kirchhoff EQ has more bells and whistles than pro q3 but, do I need these? I’m not sure. I haven’t used the Kirchhoff EQ in very many projects yet. I do think the Kirchhoff EQ will grow on me. They are both great EQs. I haven’t tested these yet but, what are the differences in cpu usage? Split EQ was designed for a specific usage. Yes you could just use the regular EQ part but you will have to ask yourself why did you buy split EQ to begin with?

I have an older machine too. I have found I can freeze a track the reactivate the FX bin then add another plug-in. If you wanted to you could in freeze and unfreeze and add another effect and on and on. Sometimes after it’s frozen I wish I could add just a tiny bit of Eq or just a bit of saturation. This is an easy way to attach plugins on an older machine. Or even if you have a newer machine but you love Acustica you might want to learn this trick. Lol.

WOW!!! Thanks. Now I get to pick. I'm going to try them all. I was watching a video by Mark Daniel Nelson. He was mixing 3 bass sources in a song. Amped, DI, Synth. I like the way it sounded. The synth bass was panned hard left and right. Each side was delayed by a small amount. I know that there are phase issues and mono compatibility problems too. I have a song that has the same 3 bases and I wanted to see what it would sound like in my song. Tried one and it came out nice. I need to play with the other VSTs and see which would work easier. Is there a plug-in that can time delay a track further than your typical phase alignment plugins?

It doesn’t look like you can have only one. I think it might be a bug.

Yea, I saw those 75" 4Ks at Walmart for $590 I thought a pair of those might look nice in the studio. But.... Then I saw the 75" 8k's HHuumm - I think I'll just wait for the 8ks to come down LOL!!!

Click on the track's DB scale to increase the graphic size on some take lanes. Save the file and reopen. The enlarged waveform graphics are reset to the default size.

Also try - right click audio clip. Pick last choice on popup menu - click ->associated audio files, then click-> recompute pictures.

When I'm clicking back and forth editing, I wish the Smart tool and the Edit(Scissor) tool could be the closest ones to the mouse pointer when you click the wheel.

Yes, thanks. I have used Cakewalk for many years. When Comping 1st came out, I tried it, but it crashed too much. Just now trying it again, LOL! I didn't know that I could just drag clips back and forth from the comping tracks.

There are some plugins that could be used - SLGain Gain ($2.50) Hornet (Several to choose from), Waves - WLM Plus($29), Playlist rider($77), Vocal Rider($29), WA Production - Outlaw ($39), Nugen MasterCheck($199), LM-Correct($399!), Adobe Audition, Reaper,Audacity. "It should NOT be a big thing to code." To get an audio file to actually sound the same volume is very tricky. Different frequencies are louder at the same RMS and Peak. LUFS is supposed to take in consideration the Fletcher-Munson Curve. I have to use several plugins stacked in comping mode to make the takes close enough to only focus on the tone, pitch and performance. Vocal Rider, Outlaw, MasterCheck and Playlist rider. Waves MV2 is super good too. If you use plugins you would probably bounce the clips which will blend them into a single track. Probably not what you want. Check these Freebies too-> I have not used the Dynamic-Audio-Normalizer of the Volume-Normalizer-Master but, I have used The-Levelator. The-Levelator does not use LUFS but, is does bring low volume audio files to a very good volume level. You could drop your "audio" directory file in this. That is amazing! I've used MNotepad in a bunch of projects but, I never knew or even thought about an envelope for scroll!

What is the best way to revert take lanes back to audio tracks. What is the best way to even the volumes of take lanes. (I found a couple of threads on this). Comping seems to crash frequently when using the right arrow.

I haven’t had any problems with Omnisphere. Could you tell us what your computer specs and sound card are. That might help.

Drop this on a bus. Anything thing you want to come forward in the mix Turn up the pre-amp to 40. Flip the noise switch to low Turn up the mids+1 or more Set send to this bus - It will move a track to the front. It is great on things like drums,lead vocals, and any guitar solo ithat you want to jump out front.

This is a great saturation plug-in! It is in my master template. And has been there for several years.. Don’t get wuped out of. getting a great plug-in free. I just watched this used by one of the major pros last night. This and pie are not replaceable by any plugins that sound similar.

Zo - Thanks for the great review and video. I always liked you videos. I wanted to get VSE-4 when it came out in 2021, but there were other plugins ahead of it. I wanted to get it on plugin alliance, but Vertigo moved future plugins to their site. I think I got the 2 and 3 for $29 to $39 each. I was shocked at the new price point! I love the saturation in the 4.
