    Hi,

Excited to find MODO DRUM serieal number in my account this evening. (email was in the spam folder)

Installed it, tried it in Cakewalk by BandLab, and am only able to see this when trying to add it as synth.

Stand alone version works fine, sounds great !!!

Any help will be very welcome. Posting here, and will try and post on IK forum too

    Thanks, Andy

Sorry to hear you have issues.  I would, however, recommend opening a ticket with IK Support as they would be able to best troubleshoot and assist and make sure you get up and running with MODO DRUM.

Glad to see you still around here Peter!!

Glad you said "here" or I'd get paranoid!  Wondering if there was something I didn't know - were they going to fire me or something?  Ha.  Just kidding.  Glad to be around, but don't beat up Ryan too much either, he's cool too (not as cool as me but he'll get there someday ;) ).

Thanks Peter. I've been trying to check the shipping price in the cart but my country is greyed out and I cant update it to UK, not in the cart nor on the profile page. What gives?

You cannot change your country directly.  IK Support will be able to do it for you via http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support

The Lurssen is $159.99..had you bought that, then
you could have gotten anything else that's offered.

Yes, this is the case.  If there's a need to make changes to what was purchased, please use the link above.

I did get the Fender collection 2 which was listed at $149 on the promotion list. I could not get the Lurrsen Mastering Console, as it didn't show up in my list of available promotions.  Dyna-Mu for $124.99 also showed up on the list, but I already have that processor.

Correct, see Larry's reply.  Lurssen Mastering Console costs more than what you bought, and any freebies are of equal or lesser value.

On the group buy website it says "ARC System 2.5 Acoustic Room Correction System plug-in with MEMS microphone €99.99 excl. VAT", from that I assume it does come with the MEMS microphone. It only doesn't say anything about the shipment and I'm wondering how much would it cost in UK.

Anybody have a clue whether this new MEMS mic is more (or less) useful for doing some recordings, than the previous one (before MEMS)? It's omni only, so probably makes no sense to have an acoustic guitar or vocal recorded with it.

Yes, it would include the MEMS mic so it would have to ship to you.  Shipping to your address would be calculated in your cart during the checkout process.

The MEM mic comes with the ARC 2.5 cross grade for $99.  I think the crossgrade price is for anyone who already owns some level of an IKM product.

Correct.  The crossgrade is available to anyone with a purchased & registered product worth 99.99+ in their account.     Anybody can check what they are eligible for in their IK User Area under "Eligibility" https://www.ikmultimedia.com/userarea/eligibility

Is the mic for ARC 2.5 part of this deal or just softstuff?

I have ARC 2.5,(got it for $35 a while ago) but not the new mic

See above, the version with MEMS microphone is a qualifying product in this group buy https://www.ikmultimedia.com/pickandmix

I worked for the largest MEMS microphone manufacturer in the world and the advantages MEMS microphones have are

    • consistency / less variation
    • minimal aging
    • very small (so they can be put in strange locations/cases)
    •  surface mount, easy for automated processes to put them on PCBs
    • can be used as ultra-sonic detectors (i.e., they can have very high frequency response)

    They still suffer from

    • (relatively) high noise (SNR of 65dB is very good for MEMs mics - not a problem for room compensation measurements)
    • low headroom (typically 120dB SPL max -  not a problem for room compensation measurements)
    • a somewhat restricted flat frequency response (which can be "mostly" compensated for since they don't have much part-part variation - but it might eliminate the need to have a serial number with a custom measured frequency response)
    • sensitivity typically has a +/-3dB variation (probably not a problem for room compensation measurements)

Yes, we chose to use a MEMS microphone for the first two advantages and because any of the disadvantages you mention would not be a factor in this type of use case.  Thanks!

CbB supports 32bit plug-ins identically to 64bit SONAR Platinum right down to the exact same version of BitBridge from 2015.

If this is the case, then OP should still have AmpliTube 2 Live in their User Area under "My Products".    I verified that my personal account has this legacy product listed in my product list and it has download links.   If Cakewalk by BandLab supports 32-bit plugins in exactly the same way then this installation should work as well as the previous.

I think I can swing that and it does sound like a song lyric.  I could see it working in multiple genres :)

That would be great unfortunately I don't have any plans to visit Michigan anytime soon. My brother & sister both had homes on Lake Fenton. I have fond childhood memories growing up there.

Ah ok, gotcha.  Lake Fenton is great, I have lots of memories there too.  Sadly, my parents won't have their place on Case's Island much longer and I cannot pick it up as it would be quite a burden due to distance, etc.  But they'll still live on the mainland.

Wow, I know Fenton very well.

Uh oh I had better not tell you when I'm there next time (kidding of course) ;)  But if you're close too we should have a meetup some time!  I go when I can to visit my parents, its quite nice.

I have lot's of friends in Fenton.  If you're ever up this way
go to Barnfest in Fenton!!!  2 days and 6 bands each day!  It's a charity
event.  We played it almost every year, and there are some GREAT
bands that play there!  Phil, the owner/sponsor is a real good friend!

I will check dates and such and see if I can be there!  I've always got a place to stay when there, so if schedule permits I may just see you at the next one.

I guess IK must have heard this to death, but every forum I’ve ever been to  have people complaining about the noice. The convoluted trial process aside, silence would be a far better than white noise for those who have their volume turned up.

Any plans to change the trial approach?

Please see the post you quoted.  There is no white noise during the demo period.  Please see the FAQ for the steps, if you're hearing noise bursts then you're not following those steps most likely.  https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=798

Sorry, but I also have to say it is hardly convoluted.  There are five steps in that FAQ and one doesn't even count as a step.  We have an easy "Try" button in Custom Shop.  Click that, keep it open, make sure you're connected to the internet, open the standalone or plugin and go.   That doesn't seem very convoluted to me.

These are fine suggestions for new projects but do not address the OP's problem.

If the OP cannot find their copy of the Amplitude 2 installer and the installer is not available from the manufacturer there are few options for working with existing projects.

They also answer OP's original post that seems to indicate it is installed, and has been reinstalled multiple times (so they have the installers):

    Quote

So I'm getting a new systemup and running with BandLab after a couple of years out of the game, and for some reason, I can't get my registered version of AmpliTube 2 Live to activate in BandLab. When I open an existing project that used that plug-in, I get the Missing Plug-in message. I've tried reinstalling a few times. I checked the location of the .dll file and made sure the plug-in manager was set to scan that location. Not sure what else to do. Any thoughts?

But it is also correct that this would be better served via official and direct IK Support as was posted in the thread too.

Also note that if AmplITube 2 was registered, it would still be available in OP's IK User area.  IK Support can also help figure out why that may not be the case.
