  1. Thanks for the heads up! Gonna have to check it out. Also gonna have to eat my words if Steve Jobs was right about taking the headphone jack out of the phone...
  2. https://www.audioreviews.org/apple-audio-adapter-review/
  3. After purchase the webpage shows a long list of download links that will expire in 31 days. You will also receive an email with the same download links.
  4. I've been thinking about buying Keyscape, funnily enough, and I have most of the EPs out there already since I kinda went overboard collecting things and apparently I'm not done yet ? I'm not sure which I would happily part with, and this is the whole issue... each additional library adds something unique. But it does start to get ridiculous having so many flavours. In terms of one's that are broadly capable to try to replace Keyscape, Acoustic Samples modelled EPs VReeds and VTines Mk1 for UVI Workstation/Falcon are both great but don't have many presets. Sonic Couture's Broken Wurli and Canterbury Suitcase are also both great and have a bigger range of presets based on famous songs. Gospel Musicians Neo Soul Keys is pretty broadly capable too although I suspect there'll be more upgrades involved than the other options. E Instruments Session Keys Electric bundle is pretty good too although the Kontakt UI has some bugs. On the topic of Pianotek I had an aha moment recently when I realised the Rhodes mk2 is not an improved model of a Rhodes by Modartt compared to their first attempt (like I first thought), but more likely refers to a model of a mk2 stage piano, explaining why I didn't really like that Pianoteq model and why I preferred the mk1. I like the EPs in Pianoteq more when I dial back all the fx.
  5. It definitely makes different kinds of sweeps to Air The Riser, so I guess it's a good tool to have in the arsenal if you want to be able to add that kind of thing to your projects. If you make EDM or ambient type music, or soundtrack type stuff. It has a surprising number of types of noise sound sources, and unique ways to tweak the sound beyond what a typical super synth would offer.
  6. Sorry folks I was mistaken! It's not part of VV. I figured out why own it ... I bought it separately in January to get the best price possible from AudioDeluxe's UVI Buy More promotion. I had totally forgotten about that. No wonder I went so far above and beyond my planned spend subsequent to Black Friday 2022. It was a helluva deal. Apologies for any confusion I caused. It was nominally $27 in January but after discounts I effectively paid $15 for it. So $9 is a great price if anyone has a need for whooshes.
  7. Correction: If you have UVI's Vintage Vault you would not necessarily have this... I was about to pull the trigger when I thought to double check if I already had it. It would have been my first accidental double purchase. So I'm glad I avoided that shameful milestone for a little while longer ?
  8. That's how I bought the bundle originally back in 2020. Got a free M1 LE Key with a miniature midi keyboard, and waited for the sale and upgraded for $199. Since then the collection has grown twice and I've paid $49 twice to upgrade it. So total outlay has been $298. To put that into perspective in that time I also bought Arturia's V Collection for $299 and upgraded it twice for $129 and $99. Total outlay $527. V Collection had been $249 to buy in the year before I first bought it, so it has gone up by $50 in a similar timeframe. Unlike many other companies in this business, Korg only charges for the new products they've added to the bundle. Updates to existing products are free. And on sale the upgrade price is quite reasonable. That's the kind of business model I'm happy to get on board with and to support.
  9. Its more expensive the older your Korg Collection is. I am happy to keep mine up to date at $49 each time. 3 new synths for $49 seems good value to me. As usual it's a bit tricky to do the upgrade: Login to your Korg ID https://id.korg.com/ Then go to the Offers page. Copy the code provided and visit the link they provide to buy the relevant upgrade product. Add it to your cart and add the coupon you copied. Then checkout. After checking out, get the product serial from the order details and add that to the Korg Software Pass app with the Register New Product button at the top. If you want to check out the details the upgrade products are here: https://korg.shop/software/korg-collection/upgrade-products.html
  10. They've been saying VST3 is coming soon on their Facebook page for a while. It was supposed to be available in Q1 2023.
  11. So tempting. Anyone got this as well as Aly James OB-xtreme 2 or Sonic Projects OP-X Pro-II and have any recommendations between them? My name is Craig and I'm a plugaholic.
  12. It costs nothing up front to join, so it's well worth doing so. If you don't join before the initial end date, you miss out. But be warned... The savings are so great you will want to buy a lot ? And unlike other companies who do group buys (not naming any names) you won't see a significantly better deal a month later causing you to question your life choices, and you won't find everything obsolete in short order and be hounded for upgrades and nickel and dime add-ons every time you use the instruments. But not naming any names, If you Know what i Mean.
  13. Phoscyon 2's upgrade price ($29) was about the max I think I'm willing to pay to upgrade a single instrument. I don't plan to use a sizeable portion of my income just to upgrade synths, plugins and DAWs. At some point I might just stick with the stuff that doesn't need to be paid to upgraded, other than the DAW and essential platforms like Kontakt.
  14. It's not a bad synth, but the UI was always pretty quirky, and U-He and Softube don't charge usurious upgrade fees for things like resizable UI. I say resizable UI purely as a guess because I actually have no idea what's new in V2.
  15. I have to admit I'm pretty happy they finally added zoom to it. In a way that seems compatible with the existing library scripting. I can appreciate the complexity of testing that would have been necessary.
  16. There's an icon that shows three grey panels for the UI, side panel, instrument window and quick load. Click that to access the zoom options and also there's quality / performance preference for the scaling.
  17. It looks like hardly anything has changed. They need to try a lot harder to sell an upgrade at that price.
  18. Yep that's how I ended up with as many bundles as I have haha. Didn't realise how over the top it was until it came time to install them all on my new PC.
  19. Ultimate owners qualify as well. Makes sense to give people another reason to upgrade to Ultimate from Komplete.
  20. Haha... there is no way I'm paying 29.99 for any of those!!! You can get most of those for $20 or less during a sale these days. It's very much like the $25 NI voucher no one ever uses. An apparent extra gift that turns out to merely be an enticement to spend more money at a price you wouldn't otherwise have bought at. Ok I guess there's no reason to buy through NI instead of a reseller then. Great to know!
  21. On the compare page on the NI site it says with std you get 1 PA voucher, with Ultimate 2x, and with CE 3x. The terms and conditions says they are buy any plugin for 29 vouchers.
  22. So am I reading some of the commentary here correctly in that you only get the plugin alliance but any plugin for $29 vouchers if you buy direct from NI? I'm keen to go from 12 to 14 Ultimate and I wouldn't mind being able to pick up maybe The Oven and Kirchoff for $29 each.
  23. Huh, for some reason I thought it was more like 4-600 or something to update CE to CE.
  24. The increased update pricing is what puts me off upgrading from vanilla Komplete.
