I grabbed this $1 plugin. Threw it on a track I'd been stuffing around with and it clearly improved the sound with only a few knob turns. Great for anyone who doesn't want to have to master the art of mixing before they can get a track sounding better. I am interested in another of this company's plugins, SampleX V3 which is currently $29 but has been on sale for $9 previously. I'm on an SP 1200 kick at the moment.

If every plugin was gone.... we'd all have to buy a bunch of new plugins!!!!?!

I wasn't getting their voucher emails to my Outlook.com email address so I changed my PA account email to my Gmail email address and started getting the emails. I assume it's some kind of issue of Outlook.com rejecting some kinds of marketing email senders. I've had the same issue with UVI and others. But I don't get vouchers anymore because I stopped buying PA plugins. I didn't need any more "mid" EQs, compressors, channel strips, amp sims and effects that I never reach for. I occasionally buy PA_EXT deals though.

Wow that's one heck of a price drop

If previous years are anything to go by, there will be an FX Collection 5 launching in June or July. I'm hoping for an upgrade deal to tempt me to move from FX Collection 2.

I suggest getting the total bundle. I rushed in and bought the reverb only bundle and regretted it ever since. Who wouldn't want some quality bread and butter effects?

Total bargain for what you're getting, at $119. As jngnz points out, it's not all super deeply sampled. It's all slathered with fx which I usually pare back to hear the actual instruments. I am one of the people who really like the digital library... you get a lot here, and it's pretty usable, although it all feels a bit opaque. Nowadays I always reach for Keyscape because it's so much more deeply sampled, but I liked having this until I was willing to stump up for Keyscape.

I normally use PayPal for everything but in this instance I used direct credit card payment to ensure the transaction went through, which it did. PayPal knows too much.

I haven't tried the East West one. Between GForce, UVI, the XILS ones, Waldorf Streichfett I though it'd start looking like the same kind of overkill as my synth, reverb and delay collections if I picked that up... Lol. Yeah String Machine 2 in Vintage Vault. I find the presets are more produced whereas VSM 3 presets are all very basic like you're using the string machine directly with only the most basic envelopes and hardly any effects. There's a lot of samples but it's like a million variations on the same thing. VSM 4 seems like it might have a lot wider range with the new effects, but with only 200 new presets it seems they took a bit of a shortcut with this upgrade.

I really liked VSM when I first got it, but I found I strongly preferred the sound of the string machines in UVI Vintage Vault.

People complain about WUP but D16 wants upgrades for every product I've purchased from them. And when the products go on sale, the upgrade pricing doesn't. I guess if I'd bought them back in 2016 it might seem fine but since I've only picked them up gradually since 2020 it seems a bit rich. Just my 10c.

Yeah I saw that and have tried playing with those, but with no reference to check against its impossible to know what it should sound like, which really limits the effectiveness. I probably should follow up with support - and see if there is any available under InMusic ?
