I don't use GarageBand anymore either. But the trick was to get the files off the iPad in the first place. Does Audacity run on the iPad? I am really just curious, because there are some Devs that have iPad plugins. So I'm wondering who uses them and how?

Well, the only difference with the MannyM bundle that I see is a resizeable UI and the newer preset browser. I originally bought them 7 years ago. (?) They were v10. It's arguable whether you should be charged for that "upgrade". I also WUPed Scheps Omni Channel a couple of years ago to get the "new" one for $12. Same updates there too. I wanted a bigger UI because my eyes are getting bad. ?

IPad to Studio One on Windows. I managed years ago and it a royal pita. Iirc, I had to export the AU files to a Mac first, then convert them to a format Windows could handle before importing them to my DAW. Way too much trouble to do it again, but I liked the string part. I think it was just Garage Band on an iPad 1. ? I am curious if things have changed since I first tried it. Like maybe Apple made it easier to get at the audio/midi files. ?

I'm curious if anyone actually uses an iPad for music production, and if you do, how do you get your audio files into your DAW of choice?

So that worked - uninstalling everything Waves then reinstalling just the WUPed few plugins I have. My MannyM and the Omni Channel plugins all showing up now. I'll see if there's anything I miss besides those...

FTR, I'm newer to the UAD ecosystem and have wanted a UAD Manley plugin for years, ever since watching some Mick Guzauski videos on UAD stuff. The Manely VoxBox is awesome and unique to UAD as far as I know - and super versatile! I've even use it on my bass.

I just got finished watching your YT video on the Orange Tree Indie Rock library today, and I'd just like to let you know what a pleasure it is to watch your stream of consciousness videos and to simply watch/listen to you play. Another standout video for me, that got me to buy the product, was IK's Shipwreck Piano. Your musicianship is astounding and inspiring - thank you for sharing with us! ?

I confess, I actually just WUPed my MannyM bundle, and the 2 MannyM freebies that they gave away since I bought the bundle originally in v10 (EQ and Tone) aren't showing up in v15. I've tried manually uninstalling those two and everything else I can think of and have read, and still they don't show up. So now I'm uninstalling every gd Waves plugin and just starting with the few I have that are v15. I'll reinstall the others if I decide I want them or need them for a previous mix. Needless to say, I'm reminded once again how much I hate their installation process and how they tried to force me into a subscription. ? If the Manny plugins and the Scheps Omni Channel were somewhere else, I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

@Greg Schlaepfer I may be in the minority here, but it would be nice to have a filter on the website so we could tell which packs work with the free Kontakt Player. As it is, you have to go into each of the m to see.

Are you getting more than 1 "thank you" coupon after a purchase? They kept me coming back last fall when they would send one after each purchase. This year, I only got one after my last purchases. That is, I think they stopped giving me a "thank you" coupon when I used one to make another purchase. It makes sense I suppose, but it's a lot easier NOT to spend too.

Just don't ask them for help if you're all WUPped up. AMD Ryzen 3 here...

While I agree with this sentiment 100% - as a customer, Melda, Kuassa, Kilohearts and SoundToys have not gotten a penny from me since I went "all-in" with these Devs. (Well KH charges for new plugins as does ST.) It's been discussed ad nauseam, but I worry about the longevity of these Devs with this business model. Less so with Waves.

^^^ This ^^^ I'd bet that Waves is in a lot of pro studios and that their primary income is from pro studios through annual WUP/subscription. Regardless of our beef with them, they make quality plugins. I think the "hobbyist" is a secondary niche market. They are glad to make money off us, but it's not necessary. Their business model is geared towards pros and they are just fine without us...

"SurferEQ Boogie" from the Sound Collective years ago is awesome. I sure wish their products were affordable!

Motu Microbook: hard to figure out and never quite made peace with it and Digital Performer. Quality, I guess, but MAC focused and I'm a Windows guy. ...to Tascam US232: much more user friendly and a solid interface ...to Focusrite 2i4: comparable quality to Tascam, but more user friendly and features I wanted. Also, Plugin Collective at the time ...to UAD Apollo: The sound quality is astounding, Unison for recording, great plugins and user community, and now LUNA for Windows. Still new to me, but so far I am in love! ?!!! It's popular (and pricier) for good reason.

I watched a video the other day where Serban Ghenea uses Metric Halo channel strip. If you want a celeb endorsement, it doesn't get much bigger than that. ? I only have a free one myself that I picked up and have never used, so no first hand experience. ?

Same! This dev is a perfect example of how to give away freebies that show off the quality of their plugins.

I sent Izotope an email after RX 11 came out and this showed up in my account. The support person wrote back: ------------------------------------------------------ Now I know I'm not entitled to RX 11 because of this, but I feel like the "old" Izotope would have had a more agreeable response rather than the "you can upgrade here" link. They have the same cruddy product tracking in our Izotope accounts but without the personalized customer care. No thanks.... ?

They are really on top of this Beta release and fixing things!
