that makes sense. so far the only thing i am exposed to in the TT product line is EZbass. I have a lot of other drum VIs. The only thing that has always had my attention from EZD is the Twisted Kit expansion. I don't think I have seen other kits that are similar.

I personally liked Detroit Soul. I picked up Rock and Americana. Playing around with them now. Update: After a little experimenting last nite, my comments are, I still find the sound of MODO bass better. (I don't have any EXBass expansions) But the best sounds for my needs are, I export the Bass DI as a wave from EZbass and then load it into a DAW and add AT5 bass amp sim. It really sounds good.

I see. so are we to assume the Americana expansion also includes the Americana MIDI library? Just in case I decide to get the expansion at a later date. No point wasting a code on the MIDI..

I guess I will check TT forums too.. but thought i would ask, what are peoples fav MIDI packs so far? Or better yet, which ones were unexpectedly better than expected. what are peoples thoughts on Rock Basics Singer Songwriter Americana

all great stuff. their all time best. if you have no NI stuff, this is a must.

thanks. good to know. i looked around at this a little closer. to be honest, i can only find 1 or 2 i would pick just so i can better understand how to make stuff in 7/8 or 9/16 time. But if they release other packs, and you can use the serials then.. that would be good.

Has anyone bought this in the past? Do you have to use up the codes within a certain time frame?

agree. totally. still.. i dont like the bass lines driving the songs and playing. it should be the other way around.

tempting. but i keep finding i prefer to make my own bass lines.

good question. from what i have seen so far, it looks like 1.5 just has the new kits. i think what you dont know is whether the upgrade from 1.5 SE will cost more than an upgrade from 1.5 full when or if Modo Drum 2 comes out.

I think CS is more than enough to get a feel for how the products work and what they sound like . I like using them.

Its just a plugin. Its not the be all and end all, and knowing IKM, it will be on sale multiple times in the next 12 months. Lots of time to think about it. Demo it. Given that the font of MD 1.5 full is green, something tells me this is a sale price. But they haven't completely updated the site yet. Just tried it out here. All seems to be working well. Standalone using about 3% CPU and 4gb ram when loaded. Toontrack EZBass in comparison seems to be using slightly more.

I did some googling. It seems like that is the case. My most used kits for what I do is Jazz and Bubinga. The new Silver and Brit Custom look right up my alley. I am tempted to get this and sit on the serial and not register until the next GB

Really? So it's worth it to get this if you own Modo Drum full? I might jump on this. Is it just new kits or has the sound engine of MD 1.5 been updated and improved?
