Yes, scook, I finally found it. It has the correct path, but the files are *.sth. I'm off to find some newer ones. Thanks a lot, man.
-
Ok. An update made the old *.sth files incompatible.

Sad to say, the Directory junction did not work either.. Also: I can start the editor from prefs..

Thanks a lot. I should be able to find that key, and edit correspondingly. Very much appreciated!

I tried to put a copy of "Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Themes" on C drive, but the themes in there are still not available. How can I make Cakewalk look for themes there? (Or, preferably on F)
-
Now I understand why there was a sudden change; I disabled the folder-protection-thing in windows for a second.. That registry operation, though.. Ouch!

Thx a lot, scook. Can I put my other themes in "Cakewalk core"?
-
..as I started Cakewalk, it had a hybrid theme, dark and light grey in a mix. I opened prefs/themes, and only tungsten and mercury were available. My Cakewalk content/themes folder is on F: (Has allways been) Strange thing is: Tungsten and mercury are not there. Just the custom ones, including the one i lost are there. There is no "Cakewalk content" folder on my C drive. So where are the available Tungsten and Mercury themes?

Upon touching the jog wheel after activating "scrub", Cakewalk chrashes along with explorer process, and I have to reboot to fix. I'm using built-in Mackie protocol. Halp! It is an Icon QCon pro G2. (Roland Octa-capture. ASIO, Windows 10) Crashes all projects I've tested it on. (Reaper scrubs just fine..)

Can't wait to get home from work and start working on this in stead. Thanks! I'm sure I'll learn something useful.- 18 replies

How is your interface volume knob set?
Anders Madsen replied to Anders Madsen's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Thanks a lot, gentlemen! My worry is that my recordings sound to low after print, and Its a little struggle to get it loud enough without clipping. I somehow manage everytime, but it is kinda uncomfortable, and often with (visible) clipping. I use a Roland Octa-capture by the way. -
I allways has to crank it to 10/11 o'clock to get a decent listening level when working with CbB. But if I forget it, I'll get shocked by other sources such as youtube, og FB videos. So I wonder; what is your "normal" setting for the volume knob?

Thx, guys! Any tricks on filming, focusing, syncing etc. is very welcome.

Worked on this at two locations. Guitar tracking didn't make it to the video. Its a Gibson SG standard on a Victory V 30. Working alone on video outdoors is not recommended: Batteries dying, invisible mousepointer, inaudible sync track, camera resetting itself, tripod sinking in the mire etc.. I recommend loud, though. https://youtu.be/EbMx3Sf8Dn4

Yes? Just as in both DaVinci resolve and Lightroom.
-
A couple of programs (DaVinci Resolve and Lightroom) I use that has an export function, also offer "Open file location" after export. (Lightroom opens that folder automatically after export) As I often need the exported file to use with film projects, I would love to see that in Cakewalk.

Finally I can just restart CW after a chrash without rebooting PC! Old-ish Roland Octa-capture never gets driver update.

Melodyne chrash. Think I found a culprit.
Anders Madsen replied to Anders Madsen's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
They don't do the same thing. I use Melodyne as a region Fx to reduce the impact of AT when AT does a lot, and sounds like AT. If its me, I'm more likely to do it over again. -

Sorry, I could not reproduce it today, with a single voicetrack. I dare not test any other projects with work put into it. I do remember that there was no option to send/save chrashdump. I could save, restart Cakewalk and continue, although that took som waiting in between hung states.
