  1. Here's a strange one. Bought and installed a new video card (GTX 1650) for a recent new studio build (Asus Hero, i9 9900, 32 Gig,etc) and noticed a strange anomaly. When I'm in track view (without busses being visible) and scroll my mouse while audio is being played all works as expected. However if I am in track view with busses visible (via the show/hide bus pane button) and am passing audio through my busses I hear a LOT of crackling when I scroll my mouse. How strange is that ? It makes mixing a real pain as you can imagine. It is reproducible on old projects as well as new projects (using my template) and it never happened before I installed the video card - which is working great. Any ideas ? Can one of my plugins one one of my busses be causing such an issue ? Running 2020.08 (Build 120 64-bit) EDIT - When I reproduce the crackling the "late buffers" number soars up in the performance area if you hover the mouse. The mystery deepens...
  2. Hehehe. That’s probably an accurate timeline. I used to use what ever was in that area
  3. Narrowed it down a little. If I go File>Export>Audio I get the normal export audio dialogue and can start the export AND interrupt with the esc key. That works fine. However if I do it from the control bar Custom>Export and start the export I cannot interrupt it with the ESC key. In both instances Audible Bounce is enabled. This is repeatable on multiple projects.
  4. Already ahead of you New project, old project, and different instances of Cakewalk. However the instances share the same keyboard (in a dual boot configuration). I’m wondering if my keyboard got wonky ? Stranger things have happened. I’ll troubleshoot further and I thank you for your response.
  5. When I export, I've always been able to hit ESC to stop the process for at least the last 15 years or so Am I going crazy or has that functionality changed as it no longer stops exporting which at that point it would ask if I'd like to keep the resulting audio ? I've tried it on two different installs on two different machines both running 2020.08.
  6. Here is something bizarre. My studio PC is dual boot with one being only for music creation and one for only internet related functionality. The intent is to keep my music portion relatively off the Internet. The Internet partition/drive installed 2004 just fine with zero issues. The music partition/drive failed and rolled back twice (so happy the rollback worked fine). Now strange is that ? Same OS, exact same hardware, exact same everything. The only truly difference - and I really doubt this will make a difference - is that my music partition resides on an M2 while my Internet partition resides on an SSD. Pretty strange, yes ?
  7. My rollback surprisingly worked fine.
  8. Ya, I saw the “your computer isn’t ready for this” (paraphrased) message this morning. Pretty cool I just built it in January and it’s an i9 9900, 32 gig 3400 ram, all latest and greatest good stuff with the exception of my interface. i do wonder if it’s freaking out about my MOTU Track16 usb but I’m not gonna mess with it as it’s been flawless for years. Well done, Microsoft. Take the rest of the day....
  9. Failed twice for me as well. So strange...
  10. looks great ! ill have a chance to check it out tomorrow. You’ve done a great job with these and I’ve been using one of your themes for a long time now (forgot the name right now). Thank you for your work !
  11. I have the same specs to some degree (i9-9900KF, 32GB RAM. Win 10) and haven’t had any of those issues. i just finished building it a few weeks ago and have been amazed by its speed. The boot drive is an M2 (also contains Sonar) and most of my samples (a LOT of Superior Drummer stuff) are on another M2. Are you using an HDD or SSD/M2 ?
  12. Just a general “thank you” to the Bakers not just for this update and hot fix but for keeping my favorite DAW well alive and kickin’. I’ve been onboard since Pro Audio (I think version 9 ?) in 2001 or so. Thanks guys !
  13. First time I’ve ever had an issue.... I didn’t realize you could download the updates separately....
  14. Hey folks - anyone having issues ? I cranked up Bandlab Assistant as I read there was a new update (and confirmed when my DAW told me the same thing) and I can’t logon ?? I did the old “forgot my password” to reset it, got the email and then changed the password but STILL can’t log in via the assistant. Downloaded and reinstalled the app and still no joy. any ideas ? I’ve been using the same password that I’ve used pretty much going back to the legacy forum.
  15. I didn’t know it existed either until a few weeks ago ! It works 99% of the time but sometimes misses an output so be aware of that. My Sonar template has separate tracks set up for every SD3 output and each track has an instance of SSL E, SSL G , Neve and a Focusrite . I then can quickly choose which console emulation fits which drum component best for the song. we live in cool times
  16. Actually SD3 has a setting that will keep the routing if you move to another drum kit or preset. I recently just found it and was overjoyed because it was SUCH a pain in the ***** redoing it every time. The setting (I don’t have it in front of me so going from memory) is near the bottom of the dialogue box where you change presets or drum kits. Something like “Keep routing from previous preset”.
