  1. looks like an opportunity to contact support@cakewalk.com
  2. By default the Tungsten theme is installed in "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk Core" The file name is TungstenTheme.fth If it is missing, I could not trust the installation and would uninstall CbB and reinstall it. the uninstall option in on the menu to the right of the Open button
  3. X1 was the only version with a Producer Expanded release. Third party Plug-ins bundled with Producer often do not run in lesser versions even if the lesser version is a newer release. This is due to the license agreement between Cakewalk and the plug-in manufacturer. CbB should load anything that was installed with 64bit version of SONAR because it appears to plug-ins as current top-of-the line version of SONAR. That said, discontinued plug-ins were often dropped because they were not maintained and were a support problem. The plug-ins bundled with SONAR received periodic updates. Older versions of a plug-ins may experience problems that newer versions of the same plug-ins do not have.
  4. That is good news. I would never be able to repro. Even though I have two monitors connected, I rarely use both for CbB.
  5. I regularly pick up hints on how to do things from forum users. MIDI routing is pretty basic though. There have been requests for more routing options. Maybe someday it will be possible to make multiple selections from the output drop down.
  6. What was the edit filter setting on the track?
  7. So , actually there is no way around it ? when you find one, let me know
  8. Already covered that ground earlier Multiple targets, in this case FX plug-ins, mean multiple MIDI tracks, one for each instance the plug-in. The for these tracks may be linked clips or a "master track" connected via a virtual MIDI cable.
  9. Should be able to save the page locally from the browser. It saves as an html document.
  10. Clips do not have any control over where their data goes, the MIDI track output setting controls where the clip data is sent.
  11. It is kind of a fallback position for support everywhere and it might work. Just seems odd, I thought Overloud used silence instead of beeps in certain demo modes.
  12. Bounce to clips will not merge clips on different tracks. Bouncing clips on multiple tracks renders the clips but leaves them where they are. So, in the case of MIDI clips, it may appear like nothing happened. To have multiple instances of the same clip act like ONE clip (whether on the same or different tracks) use Paste Special with "Link to Original Clip(s)" enabled when copying the clip.
  13. A clean re-install of either or both CbB and Platinum does not touch VSTs. It will affect the shared folders for all installed Cakewalk DAWs but the uninstall process does not affect files that have been altered or added after install. Hard to imagine re-installing either DAW will make a difference. but I were contemplating clean re-installs, I would start with first with CbB only, then maybe CbB and Platinum. Always install CbB last. The CbB instructions are here. The Platinum instructions are here. I really don't think this is necessary. Anything common between the two would be handed by the CbB re-install. Are Windows sound enabled in OS? If so, disable them.
  14. Guess it's up to the staff. I cannot reproduce or think of anything else to check (except maybe running on one monitor).
  15. They still work here. Does the scan toast show up after clicking the scan button? Is the project load notification enabled in preferences?
  16. Consider disabling the Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth in Preferences > MIDI > Devices. Especially if it is the only MIDI output device. When there are no MIDI output devices enabled, the DAW will automatically add and setup TTS-1 when opening MIDI files. TTS-1 is a GM compatible softsynth bundled with Cakewalk. Add the Akai LPK25 as a MIDI input device. To test the keyboard create a new project from the start screen or File > New add TTS-1 using the Add Track menu (see the section on creating instrument tracks) set the track input to the Akai LPK25 and enable input echo (the button to the right of the record button in the track strip) play the keyboard TTS-1 should play its default piano sound.
  17. V-Vocal was a product made by Roland that Cakewalk bundled with SONAR 5 through X2 Producer. When Roland sold Cakewalk to Gibson, V-Vocal was not part of the sale. Starting with X3, Cakewalk added ARA support and included a license for Melodyne Essential with some versions. Cakewalk by BandLab supports ARA2 and includes a time-limited trial version of Melodyne Editor. Like SONAR X3 Producer through Platinum, CbB will load V-Vocal if it is installed. Installing V-Vocal requires at least running the advanced install option and selecting "Minimal Installation" of a version of SONAR that included the productl Like this from X2 Producer
  18. The EAP is not for everyone. If one has to rollback due to unexpected problems, uninstalling and reinstalling CbB using BA takes a couple of minutes with a decent connection. Still, it may be more than some want to deal with and that is understandable. The good news is once an early release is announced, the production release should happen soon after. That said, I like peeking into the future.
