Plugin Alliance: Boom $20 Voucher / Free plugins! (No minimum spend)
Doug Rintoul replied to MusicMan's topic in Deals
The monthly voucher is no longer a $25 voucher, but an "any plugin for $29.99" voucher. Combine that with the $20 no limit voucher and you come up with $9.99. -
That was on my wish list too. Now it is on my purchased list.

And you can find no use for any of the libraries that came with Kontakt 6? You should also check out pianobook if you haven't already. -

So why did you buy it if you did not have any use for it? -

Maybe that is true for the Slate Digital plugins. The Windows Requirements on the StevenSLateDrums website state the Licensing requirements as Machine ID or iLok Dongle. I think I read someplace that Slate Digital and Steven Slate Drums were separate entities even though run by the same person. -
I noticed that PreSonus is on the list of companies evaluating CLAP. I wonder is Studio One 6 will support it when it is released. I think part of the advantage of CLAP is future proofing, especially for developers. I am not sure that there is a clear advantage yet for end users.

Are you talking about Steven Slate Drums? Maybe I am not understanding you, but my copy of SSD5.5 is machine authorized, not Cloud, and I have no dongle. It has been that way since I purchased it two years ago. -
And by the pre-release of Reaper. https://forum.cockos.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37

Oh. I missing those two. Can never have too much spackle in a song?.

I already had ARK from a previous give away but I was missing the modkit and two expansions. I was able to add those to my cart for free and then check out. Coolio!

The first computer I used for sequencing was an Atari 520ST. I actually wrote a sequencer in Modula 2 to drive a DX21 via MIDI because no commercial sofware was available at the time. The 520ST had a whopping 512K of memory. I brought it up to 1M by soldering another 512K memory chip on top of the original 512K chip except for one pin which I had to route to the motherboard for a control line. Before the 520ST, I owned an Atari 400 with a total of 8K of memory. Those were the days. It is surreal to hear that someone thinks 32GB is a modest amount of memory. Like others here, I have yet to come close to maximizing the use of my 32 GB of memory.

Actually haven't had time to try it out yet. I just installed it and made sure the code worked. But it looks like it will be really helpful. I am a guitarist but I have never used TAB notation. I have been wanting to learn it for a long time now.

Just received my code to redeem at plugivery. Guess it was not an advance fee scam after all?. Edit: Spoke too soon. When I tried to redeem my code, I received an "invalid code" error. I am sure JRR will sort it out. Edit 2: Turns out the the instructions from JRR were wrong. The code was not actually a plugivery redemption code but the actual license for Guitar Pro 8. It is installed and rockin' now.

I actually got it at Best Service last December for $79.64. They had some sort of promo code for $19.02 and I used $.34 in Best Coin.

I am still waiting for my license as well. I ordered two days ago,

As ALC said, when you add it to the cart a coupon is called groupbuyauto is automatically applied to bring the price down to $29.75. However, if you explicit enter the coupon code "GROUP", it brings the price down to $29.40. It is strange that groupbuyauto is not the same as entering the "GROUP" coupon code.

iZotope: Iris 2 Synth $10 (93% Off) at Plugin Boutique
Doug Rintoul replied to MusicMan's topic in Deals
Hey man, why the thumbs down? What part of my comment did you have trouble with? I truly was interested in what you did not like about Iris 2, because yours was one of the few descenting opinions and it is always good to get different perspectives even if one does not agree with them. -
There is an app called shell2vst that is supposed to do this. Not sure if it still works. Here is a link with instructions: https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=406123

It would be more helpful if you told us why you feel this way. It is hard to tell if you are just being an ***** or actually have something constructive to share. If you have had a bad experience with it, it would be useful to know what it was you hated about it. Just saying it is a waste of space is meaningless without context. -
I don't think Unify can do the frequency splits. There was a feature request for this two years ago with a possible workaround. https://forums.pluginguru.com/unify-feature-requests/frequency-split-multiband-for-fx-chain/

This has beem my experience with Windows Defender ever since Windows 10 came out. Never had an issue. Can't say that with AVG or McCafee or Nortons whenever I tried them,.
-
I use AVG on some of my company computers. Every time I ran a new program, it flagged it as suspicious and would not let me run it until it had uploaded some sort of signature to its website. Terrible behaviour IMHO.
