Well, the top post may have helped a bit but there still are some who are ignoring the admonition, specifically certain preset sellers, one of whom has 5 posts on the first page alone. So I think something more is needed to make sure the forum rules are adhered to to make it fair for everyone.

Lemonaid, AI music generator $69.99 (normally $140)
Doug Rintoul replied to Spice3d's topic in Deals
Okay. I couldn't tell (still can't) if you were for or against generative tools like this. It is interesting to note that lemonaid.ai explicitly states: Our tool is intentionally built to only output "starting seed" ideas, but by no means do we currently, or ever plan to create production ready tracks through the use of algorithms. Music was made to be created by humans, and we think A.I. should only be used to help co-create in collaboration, never to replace us. -

Not sure I get your point. Can you expand? -
So you should get Sparkle 2 for free as well!

Umm, $29+$49= $78 which is less than $99 full intro price. Not sure what the problem is.

Most likely Colossal Caves Adventure by Crowther and Woods. You start out at the end of a road before a small brick building.

My experience is very similar to yours, predating you by a couple of years, at least in terms of Redhat. I started with Redhat 5.1 in 1998. Punch cards programming in Fortran IV with WATFOR and WATFIV was my gateway drug to the computing world. I really was excited to be able to use a dumb terminal when I hit university because I could play Colossal Caves and Trek.

Sounds like my experience with Windows.? Command line, registry editing, force loading drivers, Googling a dozen websites, etc, etc. I was a long time Linux user, mostly Ubuntu. I did not find Linux maintenance any more onerous than Windows maintenance and in some cases easier. There are certainly some things harder to do especially in the area of audio software which is why I mostly live in Windows now. But my 86 year old mother-in-law uses Ubuntu just fine and prefers it to Windows. I am not a Linux evangelist but I think Linux's reputation as a hard to use OS has been overstated. I think it's reputation has more to do with lack of familiarity than with it being inherently more complex. On the other hand, I flounder and curse when in front of a Mac, and it is supposed to be the gold standard for usability.

Ultimate Midi Plugin updates UChord (chord progression plugin) to v1.6
Doug Rintoul replied to Tone Team's topic in Deals
This has great potential. I purchased it this weekend. I do wish that the progression was larger than 8 chords. Also it would be great if the rhythm editor was more than 1 bar, and supported triplets and different time signatures. It is not quite ultimate yet, but it could be. I do like the way you can audition chords and quickly add them to your progression. I find this easier than in Scaler. -
You actually don't need to do this. Hexcel already produces MIDI which can be recorded by any DAW. Hexcel does not produce any audio. Its MIDI output is meant to be routed to another synth.

The update is from any previous version of Pro. The upgrade is from any version of Artist.

Plugin Alliance: Boom $20 Voucher / Free plugins! (No minimum spend)
Doug Rintoul replied to MusicMan's topic in Deals
Likewise. I have not bought anything since the voucher change. I used to buy a plugin a month on average. Now I used every voucher during this sale except the second $25 voucher, which probably brought my average up to one plugin a month again. Damn you Dirk! -
Probably the shifting exchange rate.

Ya, that is probably it. It problably should have said "without the need of an iLok dongle".

Price is now $ 119.14. Should have got it yesterday?.
