  1. Nope. You can have tracks armed for recording and play back your project all day long without hitting record.
  2. Could be that the drive your audio is on is disconnected.
  3. Or build an isolation booth. Even just hanging up moving blankets does wonders.
  4. True, but the OP is one. In his position, I would be starting a construction project; I can't imagine spending hours and hours futzing around to create a performance with VIs that I could knock out in a few minutes with the real thing.
  5. People were excited when Roland bought Cakewalk too.....
  6. https://discuss.cakewalk.com/index.php?/topic/36057-cakewalk-2022-owners-manual-tutorials/
  7. Or instead of fiddle f****** around with workarounds and half measures: https://www.digitalsoundfactory.com/?orderby=price-desc&paged=1&s=E-MU+&post_type=product
  8. Usually the drummer gets blamed for the band being so damn loud but I think it is the guitarist. Guitarists easily equal - if not outdo- lead singers for being self-centered, egotistical jackasses. I say this and I are a guitar player. So many of them buy their amps with their inflated egos instead of their ears. I have been to shows in clubs where the guitarist just has to have a 100 watt Mesa Dual Rectifier and just has to dime it out because he just has to have "his sound" and his ego can't play without "his sound." The poor drummer has no choice to bash the shit out of everything. Even if he is miked. Get over yourself, ***** hole. No one except you gives a sheisse about "your sound." Not even the other guitarists. I wouldn't care if you played through a Fender Champ and a Boss Meatalzone. I'd probably actually prefer it.
  9. Forgive the obvious question, but why don't you just play this stuff on guitar? Wouldn't that be a whole lot simpler?
  10. Must...... resist....... Must...... resist....... mentioning........ obvious....... solution..........
  11. Using 3rd party VSTis will not "burnout the CPU," whatever the hell that is. There is, however, a longstanding feature request for such a thing . Perhaps you should add your voice to the choir.
  12. I have the one from the original Proteus modules, but not this one. It does go on sale periodically and I think it sounds great.
  13. Try asking on the Presonus forum or contacting their support.
  14. Don't take this the wrong way but you keep asking the most basic questions about the most basic functionality - any of which could be answered by spending 5 minutes with the documentation. You would be much better served by starting from the beginning and working through John's tutorials as well as spending some quality time with the reference guide. https://bandlab.github.io/cakewalk/docs/Cakewalk Reference Guide.pdf These are enormously helpful resources and utilizing them saves endless hours of frustration.
  15. It really doesn't work in W10 period. Time to move on.
  16. I would really recommend spending some quality time with the documentation.
