Does the DXI plugin no longer recognize it?
Byron Dickens replied to happen135's topic in Instruments & Effects
Sometimes, believe it or not, some people actually want that particular sound. People even still use things like Casio VL s for that same reason. You should see the prices! -
VST Plugins That Have General MIDI 2 Sound Sets?
Byron Dickens replied to Annabelle's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Won't power up. Was using it one day and left it on overnight and the next morning the display was blank and I couldn't communicate with it. I have power through the switch and that's as far as I can get. There are apparently no schematics available. Not that it would do me much good because the ones for electronics are way different than automotive. -
VST Plugins That Have General MIDI 2 Sound Sets?

The prices on those old modules are getting ridiculous. I am ever glad I kept my Korg X3 although I live in mortal fear in might kick the bucket on me one day like my E-mu Proteus FX did. -

That sounds a lot like my days working on cars. All the alternators in the world won't charge the battery when there's almost a 2 volt drop on the positive cable because of corrosion. Or when the battery itself has a dead cell.

I just don't get it. If I want to look at something pretty, I have a wife and 2 acres in the country. -

Trio Mandili - Psalm 50 These girls are known for singing cute, happy Eastern European folk songs while walking in and around their little village in Georgia (the country). Here they take a more somber turn chanting David's most famous penitential Psalm. You're likely more familiar with it as #51 because there is different divisions and numbering between the Greek Septuagint and the Hebrew Masoreric texts.

Def Leppard Hysteria, Behind the Recording
Byron Dickens replied to T Boog's topic in The Coffee House
I always considered that record the definitive example for "overproduced." To this day I think "What would Mutt Lange do here if this was a Def Leppard record" and do the opposite. -
I wish they would make it so you can filter out the stuff you don't have and show only what you do.

"Stop hoarding, start creating" (not a deal)
Byron Dickens replied to audioschmaudio's topic in Deals
I have scads of stuff in Amplitube, for example, that I got either dirt cheap or free that I scroll through periodically and I always come back to the Marshall JMP model. -
Free version of Cakewalk Sonar now available
Byron Dickens replied to John Vere's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
As long as it has all of the MIDI editing capabilities, I'm good. -
Why am I being forced to sign in with Facebook?
Byron Dickens replied to Xel Ohh's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Well now they don't even try to hide it. It's just open and brazen. -

Byron Dickens replied to Xel Ohh's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
And we now have a government that doesn't care about the law so its pretty much the same thing. -

Just trying to trim the beginning of a video - can't do it!
Byron Dickens replied to Tom C's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Lossless Cut for the win. That's it's whole purpose. Shotcut is a free NLE for video that is not nearly as resource intensive as DaVinci Resolve (nor, of course, as powerful)
