  1. There's the world of "what if" and the world of "what is." One is easier to live in than the other.
  2. They told you how to get around it....
  3. A transmission control module and a dual clutch for my car to the tune of about $2000. Money I was saving for property taxes.
  4. Volume is controlled by mod wheel. Just like Kontakt.
  5. https://www.sweetwater.com/insync/midi-2-0-what-actually-matters-for-musicians/
  6. That sounds like my property taxes. The county cut the tax rate by almost half then doubled the appraisal value.
  7. I'm pretty sure I registered BIAB but no joy here. I have been struggling with car repairs and not had much time for anything else.
  8. More importantly, does your audience know? Or care?
  9. How did you get it to work? I have BIAB as well and I had to hunt it down in the weird place they stashed it. I moved it to where it should be - program files/Steinberg/vstplugins - and it works just fine in BIAB but wants me to put in activation codes if I open it in Sonar.
  10. Cherry Audio.
  11. Sometimes, believe it or not, some people actually want that particular sound. People even still use things like Casio VL s for that same reason. You should see the prices!
  12. Won't power up. Was using it one day and left it on overnight and the next morning the display was blank and I couldn't communicate with it. I have power through the switch and that's as far as I can get. There are apparently no schematics available. Not that it would do me much good because the ones for electronics are way different than automotive.
  13. The prices on those old modules are getting ridiculous. I am ever glad I kept my Korg X3 although I live in mortal fear in might kick the bucket on me one day like my E-mu Proteus FX did.
  14. +1 on the vocal guide track; it can work wonders. Some churches hire a ringer for each section of the choir. If there is a really strong singer, the others around that person tend to naturally gravitate towards their pitch.
  15. Two words: Bruce Dickinson.
  16. That sounds a lot like my days working on cars. All the alternators in the world won't charge the battery when there's almost a 2 volt drop on the positive cable because of corrosion. Or when the battery itself has a dead cell.
  17. I just don't get it. If I want to look at something pretty, I have a wife and 2 acres in the country.
  18. There's only about 852,693 threads on this.
  19. Coulda told them that was going to happen
  20. Trio Mandili - Psalm 50 These girls are known for singing cute, happy Eastern European folk songs while walking in and around their little village in Georgia (the country). Here they take a more somber turn chanting David's most famous penitential Psalm. You're likely more familiar with it as #51 because there is different divisions and numbering between the Greek Septuagint and the Hebrew Masoreric texts.
  21. I always considered that record the definitive example for "overproduced." To this day I think "What would Mutt Lange do here if this was a Def Leppard record" and do the opposite.
