Don't remember the reason exactly; but I do remember long ago adding to the initialization file WarnSilentBuses=0. Do this in prefs\File\Initialization file. option is WarnSilentBuses Value is 0. then click on Set. This gets rid of the message

I am on 1809. I have updates set to wait for me (pause updates) The only issue I ever see is Chrome just freezes sometimes, otherwise all is good especially with CWbB-no issues. I also have a myriad of apps on my desktop PC (my DAW) Always have. I do think I just don't go as deep as most others do. 30-40 tracks usually with a zillion VSTS. Should I be on a newer build of Win 10 Pro? This is what it states in win update page on my PC: Updates Available. Last Checked yesterday. EDIT: So I changed it in registry and all is well......JUst thoughtb there might have been another way. So, since I started using ONLY CWbyBL I have had to reset some paths etc. So is the register the only way to change the path of the pro channel presets folder? If so, Ok then!

All midi except for vocals and guitars. Mostly good Old Rock, R&B, Blues and originals. Been doing this forever. CWbyBL is perfect for this. I have no issues and I do use tons of VSTS... Should add that I had no issues with any version of Sonar and CW and I have owned them all.

Ripple Edit has been a godsend to me also....................

So we used to be able to go to app data etc, etc and save the "exe" locally. That seems to not be the case anymore. Anyone? Thanks

Many of us (myself included) build our own. But if you cannot do that Jim R. is respected and well known. His stuff is top notch. I base that on decades of forums and years of statements from those who have purchased from him.

I am only in a Home Studio but have been with CW forever. I also am one of the peole who is always on the internet. Never , ever ha an issue like viruses, malware, etc. I am very dilligent about protection. That said I have been going back and forth about staying with Sp[lat or going full time with CWBL. I now, have finally made the move to use ONLY CWBL because as many mentioned it is a much improved version. For me, just the visual reminder that Ripple editing is on or off is a great thing. Among many other improvements. My experience with Wi0 and CWBL and staying online is the same as Cactus in post above this one-all good.

So tried again. I inserted a track folder above it. Then I deleted the track folder I just made. Now it opens. mind boggling. You know, I guess it all boils down to my faults and also something in my mind is telling me to stay with Splat. So, Yes I have posted before about things and mostly Scook and cactus iirc straightened me out. Once lens were o n, th other I do not recall. So NOW: Open a project in CWbBL, all audio tracks, no midi. I have a track folder named Drums Audio. Except it is NOT a folder that can be opened or anything. The 20 tracks are in there but the folder is non functional. Once again, I go back to Splat immediately and low and behold the Drum audio track folder is, you guessed it, a normal track fold - NO lenses are on. So is there a setting somewhere that I do not know about? Once again I am trying so hard to love CWbBL since it is being developed but jeeeezzzzz. Any ideas? properties of the folder show 20 audio files and nothing else. I donot get it. I mean isn't a track folder a track folder "always" if that is the way I create it? Thanks

Hey Jim Yes I was really surprised when I read Stckmans blog about it. He has the ame card. It's been months and never a glitch. I definitely was presently surprised because I really liked the card and was very familiar with it. I actually had given up and was using my backup-Rloand Octacapture. So glad I found it.

There is an adapter that actually works really well and cost in the $30 range. My echo Layla 3G is half height and it has been flawless with the adapter to PCI Express slot. Stickman33 found the adapter. PM me if yopu would like the name. $30 is well worth having a backup you like. Echo Tech told me their card would NEVER work with a PCi to PCIe adapter. Uh, they were wrong......... I actually have to perfect AP2496's sitting in my closet. Forgot about those until this thread.....

So I also looked around. got demos of SOP3 and MIxbus. I already owned reaper and have for a while now. Today I use Splat and CbB...period. Works for me but I am not making $$$ doing this, just a home studio. I will most likely keep reaper updated, just because.

Yup That was it............So I am just a dummy. I can live with that. Thanks as Always Scook................. Amazing how basic actions can change so drastically. Even if I did EVER create a scene I certainly would not HIDE folder and have a track deleted when removing said folder. Or have the smart tool become dumb. Oh well.

So I had posted about an issue like this a few weeks ago and thought I had it solved, with the forums help. So I downloaded an old BB king tune to play at a private party as a request. Just a simple 1,4,5............. Someone please do me a favor. I have attached a midi file I downloaded form a reputable website. Add 2 folders anywhere in the middle of the track view. First, adding a folder does NOT show the folder but it is listed in the send to list as folder 1 and folder 2. Now try to drag open any track to view input and output. Anything strange happen? for me it does. Cannot open the track I am focused on. now undo the insert folder for both instances. When I do this the tracks disappear? Not the folder tracks because they were never shown, but the track where I wanted to insert the folder be it 7 or 9 lets say? ONCE AGAIN...this "same" midi file works as expected in SPLAT...no issues. Is this some hidden preferences in CWbyBL that I am missing? It's just a midi file..... Thanks for indulging my frustration with this. I am trying so hard to move to CWbyBL because of the updates and enhancements but stuff like this keeps happening. B_B_King_Rock_Me_Baby.mid

I understood the OP to mean online thingy , as in always. Using anything to download and authorize isn't the same. you pretty much have to download and authorize pretty much most music software. Maybe I misunderstood,

Hi There is NO online thingy. Once it's installed it's CW period. I still Use Sonar Platinum-last version 99% of the time. But I have been fooling with CWbyBL a little bit everyday. There really is NO down side, considering it's free, based off the last Platinum version and has been getting improvements for quite a while now. I still have 8.5 producer , but it's not installed. Good Luck whatever you decide to do.
