  1. Well, I missed it the first time around. Installed. Tried it out to host Amp Room. The GUI could use some work, like the plugin browser defaults in Documents so you have to know where your plugins live (/Library/Audio/Plugins on Mac). Went searching for alternatives and found Hosting AU (for Mac only). http://ju-x.com/hostingau.html You can select your plugin from a list rather than manually search in a file browser. Deleted vPlayer.
  2. That's only when it's on sale. Right now, bx_tuner is $19, but the pedals are $9.99. I didn't find anything cheaper for padding.
  3. No argument here. I'm curious how it stacks up to the competition. It does have the better PreSonus XMAX-L pre-amp like in the higher end PreSonus Studio 24c (but over double the price).
  4. This is how is worked with Studio One 4 Artist which was bundled with my PreSonus AudioBox 96 I purchased almost three years ago. As a newbie, the Magic Suite was great, but being limited to those plugins in S1 kept S1 from being as useful once I started collecting plugins. I ended up buying the add-on to unlock the plugin feature for $80. PreSonus added third party plugin support to S1 5 Artist. Interesting that they are bundling S1 5 Prime with this interface. All I'm saying is if you're in the market for a low end interface and you don't already have a DAW, pay the $20 extra for the AudioBox 96 and get an unencumbered Studio One.
  5. You can add a $10 item (pedals currently on sale) to the cart to make it eligible, for $15 total.
  6. I noticed that this comes with Studio One Prime instead of Studio One Artist with previous audio interfaces. A major feature missing in Prime is third-party plug-in support (VST3/AU), well worth the additional cost of a higher priced interface (like the AudioBox 96) to get Artist.
  7. Or buy something like the $19 tuner or one of the $29 items to get it over the threshold.
  8. Apple Silicon support. Nice. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/index.php?id=1412 Below is a list of all software confirmed to be M1 native compatible without Rosetta 2. * MODO DRUM 1.1.3 * SampleTank 4.1.4 * Syntronik 2.0.0 MODO DRUM was the first to go native since it didn’t work under Rosetta. I didn’t realize that Syntronik 2 and SampleTank are now native. I guess the major ones left are TRackS and AmpliTube.
  9. No pop-up for me either, but I already have it (though in the past, it didn’t matter if I already had freebie or not).
  10. Got this during the group buy. A nice collection of higher quality electric pianos for SampleTank (compared to the stock ones in ST4). If I didn’t already have it, it’d be a no brainer using $15 in JamPoints.

    Gainmatch

Before, I was using a Hornet plugin that has the autogain feature (many of them have it).
  12. I have a weakness for electric pianos. I got this on iOS. It’s a good one. Do I need it on macOS? I like that it’s M1 native. Very tempting.

Purchased. Previous discussions put it on my radar. Thanks, all.

    Ableton Live lite free

If you ever want to get Live Standard or Live Suite, having Live Lite will give you a discount (but I'd suggest waiting for their 30% off sale for the upgrade). Many physical KORG (computer or keyboard) products include the KORG Software Bundle, which includes an Ableton Live Discount Coupon ($50 with the nanoKONTROL2 I got before). https://www.korg-license-center.com/index.php?hl=en Unfortunately, there's no upgrade path from Live Lite to Live Intro. I ended up using the coupon from KORG to pick up Live Intro 10 (which was current at the time) for $19 (when it was on sale for $69).
  15. Happy birthday, Larry! This place would not be the same without you--your online presence is much appreciated.
  16. For music, I'm usually using iOS, but I did a search and found the following: https://producerhive.com/buyer-guides/apps/best-android-music-making-apps/ https://www.codamusictech.com/blogs/news/top-5-paperless-sheet-music-chord-chart-apps-for-android https://www.careersinmusic.com/best-music-making-apps-for-android/ There aren't as many virtual instruments for Android like on iOS/iPadOS, but one of the ones I ran across before was VB3m (ported from GSi VB3 1.x on Windows/Mac), currently $13.99. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.genuinesoundware.vb3m&hl=en_US&gl=US https://www.genuinesoundware.com/?a=showproduct&b=50 I picked it up for iOS and it's pretty good (IK B-3X is better, but more resource hungry). I don't know how good latency is on Android is, though. iReal Pro: fake book app, $14.99 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.massimobiolcati.irealb Ideally, catch them on sale, but I haven't found a good app sale tracker like on iOS.
  17. Oh, I was referring to the sound quality of the stomps. Have you mixed the AT5 stomps with AR amps/cabs and/or vice versa? From what I read, the AR Marshalls are top notch. How do the Fenders amps stack up (I assume AT Fender Collection would do pretty well)?
  18. Thanks. Yeah, I got AT5 with everything from the group buy. How would you compare the quality of the stomps of Amp Room vs. AmpliTube? Do you mix and match or stay in one or the other?
  19. Reading through your past comments (and of other Amp Room users here) was helpful in making the decision to get it. Thanks.
  20. Don’t forget that if you buy rig libraries on the desktop, you can get them on iOS for $.99.
  21. Picked up Amp Room after some research. https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/the-super-unofficial-softube-amp-room-marshall-amp-gear-list-and-faq.2306751/ Got bad case of GAS w.r.t. amp sims. AmpLion 1 ($10). Lots of PA amp sims (most at $10, $15). AA ReAmp Studio ($15). Electrum (intro $25 - $20). Guitar Rig 6 Pro (from Komplete). AmpliTube 5 (equiv to MAX after GB). Nembrini ($10 each on iOS). Now Amp Room. All at a discount. Hard to resist a deal.
  22. I got MB1 in a previous group buy and AT5 and AT5SE (yeah, I ran out of things to redeem) in the last group buy, and the discount showed up for me. However, AT5 was one I purchased via GC. There’s no indication of the discount until checking out. People generally wouldn’t add an item into the cart to be pleasantly surprised by the discount. So, if I didn’t know about it, I wouldn’t have done so (but just to check). Looking up reviews on the amps, they sound compelling (California Tweed), so I’ll be waiting for a future group buy or good sale.
  23. You won’t see the discount until you add it into the cart and check out. At least that was the case for me. You certainly qualify from owning MB1 and AT5.
  24. https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?item_id=11970 *For a limited time, existing owners of AmpliTube MESA/Boogie 1, AmpliTube 5, AmpliTube 5 SE, AmpliTube 5 MAX and Total Studio 3.5 MAX will receive an exclusive discount automatically when adding MESA/Boogie 2 to their cart.
