  1. No one would see you until you needed a sip of water.
  2. Buy the Supreme Court. I think they cost a calastoga wagon each. Same as it ever was.
  3. Thank you so much! That feels great coming from you. It is for the father of a friend from my middle school days. We are encouraging him to get the old band back together!
  4. This image shows the old beside the new. You can see the glue on the bass.
  5. The rings are threaded and make it adjustable. You can tip it left or right. Raise it up and down. It is only threaded in the wood so you must not adjust it with pressure on. The glue was on the bass from before. The owner broke the old bridge while tuning it. Then put a screw in it to make it function. The glue held the whole mess in place. I couldn't get all the glue off. I did my best.
  6. Getting my bridge ready. There is glue on the bass.
  7. Does anyone know why asteroids always land in craters? It is uncanny.
  8. Have you heard of band lab?
  9. I do tons of recordings like you do. I do what mettelus describes as a last step before archiving. I don't worry about space.
  10. When mesh looks back to understand why he lost his wife, he will eventually come back to this post.
  11. Success. It wasn't gross but it was dirty. Looked new when I was done and sounds great now.
  12. Remembering what goes where is a trick for me. I use tiny gem stickers to mark sets of 4 so I can quickly get to the right things. I never have changed it yet. My patch bay is fixed. I use it constantly. For example I have a 2 channel compressor... Sometimes it compresses 2 mics that catch both guitar and vocals. Sometimes it compresses then deesses the vocal. Sometimes it is a linked mix compressor. Mainly I use it to route different pre outputs to different digitizing channels. It saves me a lot of time and trouble.
  13. Is he looping back the playback into the input?
  14. It may be they do math to find peaks that fall between samples. I trust cakewalk very much.
  15. Carter Beauford with Dave Matthew band uses chimes. 72-Bar Double Row Chimes https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carter_Beauford
  16. I have an es 336 that I enjoy. I bought a new Martin without seeing it. Experiences were good.
  17. In the same house, you can get 50 ms latency. This is 100ms round trip latency on blue cats connector plugin. Interesting but not there yet, imho. https://youtu.be/T-x1VoqOqag?si=vclbtrmobvbOR5QS This seems to be for the purpose bit described in the other chat more than across the internet collaboration. https://serverfault.com/questions/137348/how-much-network-latency-is-typical-for-east-west-coast-usa Looks like stanford to boston could be 40ms best network time. Practically, playing together isn't really possible currently over the internet. Now you can play in sequence... one person just plays and sends the stream to a friend who listens to the first performance and adds another. This chain can be as many people as you like, but the players cannot hear anyone downstream from them until they are done performing.
  18. Patterns help give a back drop on which to create surprise. Patterns that humans recognize create a place where surprise can be recognized.
  19. Ok.... I just want to cover some obvious points. In track view Toggle Shift +B You should see your busses... one will be metronome Turn it down. Does this help?
