That's true. A corrupted sample can cause this. I can always reinstall the sample as I have it backed up. That may be the next attempt!

Now that I think about it, it probably isn't a problem being caused by CCCleaner. I thought it might because today CC Cleaner was trying to goad me into upgrading while Sonar was playing today. But since the audio glitch always happens around the same measure in the piece, it's not likely being caused by some event involving another app, i.e. virus checker, downloading virus updates, etc. If it were it would not always happen around the same measure.

Yes, but earlier versions had this issue too. As I mentioned in the above post CCCleaner is kind of obstrusive so I uninstalled it, we'll see if that works.. Thanks Amberwolf. Jerry https://www.jerrygerber.com https://www.youtube.com/@astromusicvideo

Thanks Mettelus. I tried that on your suggestion but it didn't help. I did notice that CCCleaner was sending me notifications to update, since I don't use it anymore I uninstalled it. That might, or might not be the culprit. We'll see...

I'm experiencing an issue that my normal troubleshooting routines aren't resolving. If I open the piece I'm working on in Cakewalk and start playback, at around measure 30 I get a pop, and what sounds like a missed note, I think, in the string section. If I play it again it's fine and the problem won't return until the next day, no matter how many times I edit or play the piece. I've tried changing the audio buffer size in my RME interface. I am sure it's an audio, not a midi problem. I'm sending CW MIDI data via Ethernet to a dedicated computer for my VSL library. I tried changing audio buffer size on the VSL computer's ADAT interface as well. I've also tried upping the buffer size in the MIR Pro reverb on the VSL machine and also upping the sample pre-load size in the VSL utility called Directory. So far, none of these solutions work. I ran a test to make sure my computers are still capable of handling audio (they are) Both machines have 32GB memory, fast SSD drives (a total of 5 drives) and both are running Windows 10 with an i7 CPU. I had this issue once before last year and I fixed it by increasing the preload sample size for my VSL samples but this time that's not resolving it. Thanks, Jerry

Ah, no. I was using a downloaded earlier version. I rarely need to rollback and didn't know I wouldn't be able to simply install a previous version. I'll do it the way you suggest if I ever do need to rollback.

I'm paying for Cakewalk, Membership. I closed the app and reopened it and I am not seeing the bug now. It seems like when there's a series of tempos, I have to delete the last one first, in order to delete all of them. Not sure about this. I'm only working on one project so I don't know if it's happening in other projects, probably not as I would have noticed it before, I use a lot of tempo changes in my music. I am sure though that I wasn't able to roll back to version 31.09.0.038 or any other previous version. Am I missing something? J

1. I'm seeing a new bug in the tempo map. When I try to delete a tempo point, or a series of tempo points, some won't delete. 2. When I want to roll back to the previous version that I know does not have this bug, I get a message saying I can't do that. Am I to interpret this as meaning I cannot roll back to an earlier version? Jerry https://www.jerrygerber.com

Yep, thanks, you're right, there was a template with the hidden track. I assumed because the workspace I saved had no hidden tracks, that the file itself wouldn't be hiding any...

I'm having an issue with this release. I am not 100% sure it's a bug but I've never seen this behavior before. While composing and sequencing, one of the MIDI tracks, #14 out of 14 tracks, suddenly gets hidden. I've never made a shortcut key to hide a track, if that's even possible. Is any one else seeing a track suddenly get hidden in track view? I haven't yet become aware of the steps that have to happen before this occurs, however I'm paying attention to it. Thanks, Jerry www.jerrygerber.com

I'm familiar with the current color options. There's little comparison to what we could do with CwB, the theme editor and the choices once available.

Are the paying subscribers to Sonar ever going to get anything close to the color options that we had in Cakewalk? Themes? Ability to customize colors on a level of detail that we became accustomed to? To my mind that should be the high priority rather than adding new features... Jerry

Square Highlighted Box Around Take Lanes in Track View
Jerry Gerber replied to Jerry Gerber's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
As I mentioned above, I accidentally hit the take lane button. So now I know not to do that when moving the mouse. Jerry https://www.jerrygerber.com https://www.youtube.com/@astromusicvideo -

OK. I consider this a bug as it clutters the screen with an indicator that has no function if the take lane option is not open. Any chance the developers can re-work this so that the lit box around the take lane is completely off when take lanes are not needed or being used? Thanks, Jerry -

Thank you for explaining. I have no need to use lanes, it's not how I work. How do I clear the lanes and still keep the data if that's possible? Thanks, Jerry -
Square Highlighted Box Around Take Lanes in Track View
Jerry Gerber replied to Jerry Gerber's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Yes, this is all true. But I accidentally hit one of the take buttons and now, as you pointed out, it's not possible to restore it to its original condition without deleting the track's data! It looks weird to see one track with the button highlighted, as it needlessly calls my eye's attention to it. -
Square Highlighted Box Around Take Lanes in Track View
Jerry Gerber replied to Jerry Gerber's topic in Cakewalk Sonar
Sure, here it is. Notice the annoying box around the take option. I never use this feature and I am unable to reduce screen clutter by getting rid of the white box. It's on every track. I tried to remove it but the only way is to delete actual midi data, which of course I don't want to do. Thanks, Jerry https://www.jerrygerber.com -
Square Highlighted Box Around Take Lanes in Track View

I can't seem to get rid of the box around take lanes, which I never use. Once I turn on the take lanes and close them, the box remains. If I click on the "X" to delete it, it deletes all the MIDI data in the track. Isn't there a way to remove the box? I'm using the latest version of Cakewalk (Sonar, paid version, 2025.09) Thanks, Jerry -
Nice orchestration of synths! Transition about 1/2 through worked well..

Not with my scope, but I was on a gig once a long time ago in Placerville, California and several of us saw a UAP that could definitely not have been any kind of human aircraft. It's hard to imagine two things, 1) we're the only technological species in the cosmos, and 2) why in the universe they'd want to come here when we're barely civilized and it's dubious to say we're intelligent.

I tried to delete the original video that show missing content but could not find a way to delete it. That was my preference.

My decision wasn't meant to be seen as weird. I made some edits to the video and unfortunately when I uploaded the newer version to YouTube it gets assigned a new URL. From now on I'll post links to my images on either my own site or the following site. If I edit the image it still retains the identical URL: https://app.astrobin.com/u/jsg?i=0uufsl#gallery I was hoping "Moved To Another Post" would be self-explanatory. I apologize for the inconvenience.
