I haven't used it, but give NoteMapper (free for personal and commercial works; donationware) a try. Free NoteMapper by CodeFN42 This is a VST that won't read a file and output a translated file. Tried it with NanoHost. If you need to load it into a DAW to use, why not use the DAW's note mapping feature instead? So, a big RosannaRossannadanna "never mind". I'm going to keep looking for a standalone MIDI note mapper. I found one called MIDI File Mapper, but I can't try it out. It requires v3.5 of Mickeysoft's .NET framework and I'm not going to install it just for this test. If you have that version of .NET installed, it might be worth a try. MIDI File Mapper

I found this example in an archived Reaper forum post. I see this most often used for the Song Name. In Reaper roll or list: Add/Insert Event Text Type: copyright notice..... "Your Copyright Text" +++++++++++++ This is the meta event type xFF x02 =Copyright Notice for MIDI Files Normally on Track 1 Position 1.1, but you can insert this also elsewhere.

^^^ This exactly. That's why we need an AUB for MODO Bass. Come on, IKM! Time to step up to the plate. I have CoreBass Pear from OTS and it's very good, but I'd like a MODO Bass AUB, too.

Thanks for the heads-up. I had $1.52 in Deluxe Bucks left over, so $17.48 total. Heck of a deal.

There was a new password for v3. It has unlocked every v3 update so far. I used to toss a coin in the update fountain every second or third update, but that seems to be gone now that you can update through the app itself. The update mess still exists. The install app looks like it hangs (I needed to manually copy the .DLL into my VSTPlugins folder (the Install app hung; there's a note saying to install into a writable folder; all other plugin installers have no problem writing to the C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins folder)). And it still creates all new directories with a " 2" appended to each. No clue which, if any, files were updated, so I just deleted all of the old folders and deleted the " 2" from each folder name. A real Bass-o-matic approach to updating.

Now I remember why I haven't checked for Fathom updates in a long time. What a convoluted mess. Makes me wonder how convoluted his coding is.

Worked great! Thanks. Still can't get over his version naming convention. Said I have v3.3.0 and v3.6.0 is available. The v3.3.0 zip file I have is named 303. The file being downloaded is named 306. Oh, well. It's the music that matters, right? ?

All of the download links are dead. Unable to update to the latest version of Pro.

Since MIDI files don't support tags, I'm not sure how this works, but you an give it a try. Don't know how the data added would be searchable. Maybe it just turns it into one long filename. Add Meta Data to MIDI File

I already own Syntronik Deluxe, so this "freebie" doesn't do me any good.

Thanks. I'll try the upgrade again. EDIT: No idea what happened the first time, but installing the latest version of v5 worked great. AL4 is still the full version, as is AL5. May have been an authentication problem the first time. Doesn't matter. I have a lot of banks I purchased for AL4 that show up. I have a total over 9200 presets available, so I think I've got everything. Thanks again for the nudge.

When Analog Lab V first showed up in the Arturia Software Center, I installed it. My license for Analog Lab 4 reverted to the Lite version. I had to uninstall v5 and reinstall v4 to get the full version of v4 back. Is this still the case? Seems like a crappy way to force me to upgrade to the full v5.

I have one pair of the 250 ohm 880 for mixing and two pairs of the 250 ohm 770 for tracking/voice-overs. Love them all. Very comfortable for long sessions. They work great with my PreSonus 1810c headphone drivers. I wouldn't spend Beyerdynamic money for 32 ohm cans for use with a cellphone or other low-powered device.

I own them all, save for the Omnipressor. Just corrected that situation. Less than $42. AbFab! -
sales KONTAKT 6 50% Off Until The End Of September

If you don't have a license to any version of the full Kontakt, it's definitely worth it. I bought v9 Ultimate back when. When I bought my new computer, the only NI instrument I installed was Kontakt 5. I upgraded to v6 the first time it went on sale. If you have v5, but not v6, it seems to me that the primary reason to upgrade would be to be able to use Kontakt instruments developed with v6 that may include v6 specific code. There are a lot of free to inexpensive Kontakt libraries out there. Cool, weird little instruments. If Omnisphere is doing everything you need, spend your money elsewhere. If every so often you feel the need for an unusual sound not available in Omnisphere, Kontakt can be a lifesaver. I have not noticed that same kind of support/product development for Omnisphere. If I'm wrong, the flipper of bits will straighten me out. ? -

I just came across this video on mic'ing speaker cabs. Interesting. I learned a few things. By Steve Albini.

Yup. Ended 8/18 at midnight somewhere. To cheer you up, I was going to post this really cool cover of Hungry Like The Wolf, but... ?

Here's the product page link. Ampeg SVT Suite

It will be interesting to see how much of the Ampeg tone I can get through the Rumble 200c/210cab when set flat (10, 2, 2, 10 for Bass, Lo Mid, Hi Mid, Treble).

I think this offer ends today, the 18th. Looking good for a v1.0.0 product released a couple of months ago. 3 amps. 8 cabs. 6 mics. 5 FX pedals. User IRs. 10 presets for each of the 3 amps, plus a bunch of artist presets. Includes preset templates for making your own. Authorization is to the computer you install it on via logging in to your Ampeg account (which I had to create). The survey only took a minute or two. I won't be able to try it out until I get to France and receive the goods I shipped last February that were sitting in storage waiting for me to get my visa (two weeks ago) so I don't have to pay the 30% import duty. All of my basses are in that shipment. I had to sell my Rumble 40 and 200 combos because they were 120v only, not switchable to 240v. Will have to replace them when I get there. Gonna get the 210 cab to go with the 200 combo. SWEET!

SVX came with Amplitube 4 MAX, but I had to buy SVX 2. Gotta have that 15N! I need to take a closer look at this. Anyone have experience with Ampeg's own VST? How does it compare to the Amplitube versions?
