Bajan Blue replied to Lynn Wilson's topic in Songs

-
Nice ambient sounds, like this - great to listen to, although I would agree, for me, I would either pull the vinyl crackles down a bit or perhaps just have them on some aspects of the track Good wrok Nigel
-
Hi Douglas - good track guitar work is great - perhaps could do with a little something on the vocals - have you got some reverb on them? Nigel

Hi Wookie Like this a lot - really reminds me of some superior Klaus Schulze Great job Nigel

What size LCD monitor are you guys using?
Bajan Blue replied to Christian Jones's topic in The Coffee House
Hi Christian Sorry a bit late in on the discussion but lockdown has already meant some internet issues - also South Africa lost one of its three cables bringing internet into the Country, so that also has caused us issues. But today is good - everything working!!! I use a 50" old TV and a 22" monitor - I put all the sub elements (synth rack, inspector etc) on the 22" and just keep the main mixing window on the 50" If you have a quick look at this video, you can see them in use (go to around 9.20) Cheers Nigel -
Bjorn and Lynn Great job guys - great lyrics and sung very well cheers Nigel
-
Thanks Bjorn - glad you liked the video - these can be hard work sometimes to get right Jesse - always appreciated my friend - keep well Freddy - thanks so much for the positive comments - there are many more videos on our YouTube page, or some much older stuff on our website if you would like to have a look - on the older stuff, the videos look a bit grainy, but the music is a bit different!!!! Cheers Nigel OLDER VIDEOS - don't forget to turn the volume up as it defaults to mute! https://www.devinelie.com/video/ YOUTUBE VIDEOS https://www.youtube.com/user/DevineLie/videos

Thanks Paul, much appreciated we do work hard on vocals and mix!! cheers Nigel

Tom Living quite a lot of the year in South Africa, I find it hard not to view all Politicians in the same light - thieving corrupt and incompetent!! However in Barbados after about ten years of thieving corrupt and incompetent Politicians, we have a new Prime Minister (same as President sort of) and she has made a massive difference - almost restored my faith in Politicians....well not fully but getting there. I'm not really up on US Politics - have to say the last election was a surprise...think i'll leave it at that? Regards the song, love the guitar - think it would great with a bit of vox organ on the chorus Cheers Nigel
-
Hi Jesse Great stuff, really liked this - definitely Far Out?? Nigel
-
Hi Andy Thanks and glad you like the video - we probably work as hard at the videos these days as we do on the music!!!! Cheers Nigel

Invisible - latest experiment - latest mix 3/16/20
Bajan Blue replied to Lynn Wilson's topic in Songs
Lynn Like this and I actually like the vocal - it sounds cool and does remind me of Peter Gabriel Nigel -
Hi Patrick Agree by and large with Jesse - are the drums midi? If yes, I think it might be some other timing issue. Love the guitar work, sounds really good. Nigel
-
Hi Jesse Thanks for the comments - I think I appreciated them?? Cheers Nigel
-
Hi Wookie Thanks - your comments always appreciated Cheers Nigel Hi Tom Wow thanks, always appreciate your input. OK some SHAMELESS self promotion coming up? You can buy the Physical CD at https://www.musicglue.com/devine-lie You can buy the download at https://www.amazon.com/Constantly-Disappointed-Toleration-Explicit-Devine/dp/B07WTQ3TKL/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=devine+lie+Constantly+disappointed+Toleration&qid=1584083925&sr=8-1 Now please don't ask me why you can buy the actual physical CD for much less than the MP3 download - being small and insignificant, being allowed to set your own prices is not something afforded to us? I've just realized you can buy both our last two albums (Constantly Disappointed Toleration AND On Top of the World) for about the same price as the download? Nigel
-
Hi Douglas Thanks so much and I'm glad you enjoyed the lyrics - means a lot Cheers Nigel
-

-
Hi Guys Just released the latest track from our album Constantly Disappointed Toleration - the track is called Tears of Blood Cheers Nigel
-
Totally agree re the FX Bundle - I love and use all 15 of them - well, 15 now I have the reverbs, which I think are really good!!! Nigel
-
I've had this for a long time and it is my first stop for string sounds - this is so cheap it must almost be in no brainer territory - the choice of sounds is extensive - as Zo says browser is a bit old fashioned but once you've used it for a while you get use to it - and as I said it does sound good!!!
-
wow - this seems very cheap - and it looks like you get VSM included as well as the expansion pack
-
Emm - very interesting - they all do look remarkably the same - cloning perhaps?
