lawajava I think you might have made a very good point re the presets and I think that's why I'm not getting on with Finisher - the names of most of the presets don't really give you a clear idea as to what they do - so you have to click through a load to try and find one that does what you're looking for - it's quicker for me just to use say a delay/chorus/flanger / whatever and quickly dial in what I want - perhaps a better way of sorting and selecting presets could be something they could look at Nigel

So I downloaded the demo and tried it on a few tracks - first impressions I cant say I was that impressed - but the good thing is the thirty day free trial - I can give it a thorough check out, see if it grows on me!! Shame some other Companies don't do the free trial, though I suppose it might reduce sales if after thirty days your impulse purchase mania has worn off!!!!! Nigel

One of the programs I use is Hard Disk Sentinel - its active and monitoring when I switch on my computer and gives advance warning when any disc starts to go wrong - i have found it pretty accurate https://www.hdsentinel.com/ Nigel

Many years ago I had this happen - I think it was an Akai midi keyboard - the thing used to drop out just like this - it was very temperamental - so I got a Focusrite midi keyboard - same set up - never had an issue again!! One thing I forget to mention - I would change the USB cable just to eliminate that - it can be something as simple as a different cable - there might appear nothing wrong with the cable and it will work on other things, but I have found over the years that just changing to a different cable can resolve some USB issues !! Are you on Windows 10? I recently had an issue after a Windows 10 update with my midi keyboard as there were no proper Windows 10 drivers - there is a way to trick Windows 10, which I did and it now works again. Have you tried updated drivers for your keyboard? Nigel
