So, did you ever get the latest updates and drivers from the Focusrite web site? -
If it isn't nailed down...

new USB interface - unsure of what settings I need
57Gregy replied to Jenna's topic in Instruments & Effects
Welcome back. I think you'll like the Solo. I have used Focusrite interfaces for about 20 years and they've (almost) always worked flawlessly. High quality, good electronics and drivers, plus, they're not too expensive. There should have been some sort of Getting Started guide included if you bought it new. I currently have the Scarlett 4i4 3G and it was printed on the inside of the box cover. It was pretty simple; Connect the Scarlett and follow the directions. Those directions should have taken you to the Focusrite web site where you need to download and install the latest software, including drivers (it appears that you haven't done that, yet). Once you have that completed, then you should be able to select their ASIO driver and get ready to rock! -
Initial Velocity for Cakewalk TTS-1 High than Levels Out

If you draw in a note in the Staff or Piano Roll views, do they behave the same way? -
Don't let the glasses fool you. But I do know how to read a compass.

How can I get in on that?

How to patch drum samples onto an actual drum track in Cakewalk
57Gregy replied to Edward Allen's question in Q&A
Many synths allow loading your own samples in their libraries. You could load your 'real' drums into one of those and play it plus another track of the drum synth with its samples. -
Can you post a screen shot of the maximized audio track pane? Does it happen on just that 1 audio track or other audio tracks in the same project? Anyway, that is strange.
-
😄 It might if you were trying to record the soft synth's sounds.
-
What are you trying to record on this audio track?
-
-
Are you recording with a microphone? If so, are you using headphones? If so, could the metronome sound be bleeding out the headphones to the microphone? What is this?

Beginner help , still dont have midi playback (correctly).

When you click Insert at the top and select Soft Synth, what synths are available to you? -
Please post pictures of Cakewalk's Preferences for Audio. Click P.

Initial Velocity for Cakewalk TTS-1 High than Levels Out

Welcome to the forum. It depends on the patch. A piano will naturally fade over time regardless of the length of the held or drawn note. An Arp 2600 will play forever if the note is long enough, or you hold the key down. -

LUFS levels change when project gets exported
57Gregy replied to guildensterne's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Welcome to the forum. The 'Toneport' would be your hardware (H/W) and it looks like the H/W output is the export source, not the Master bus. Go into your project and mute the Master bus and press Play. Is it silent? -
Using Cakewalk as a pre amp for guitar and mic line imputs
57Gregy replied to Secano SRL's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Is that what you want to do, 2 guitars and 2 microphones at the same time? If so, you will need an external mixer, as the 4i4 I have (3rd gen) can only accommodate 1 guitar and 1 mic simultaneously, plus 2 mono or 1 stereo line input on the backside, but it works great that way. If your Focusrite is new, you may be able to exchange it for another model with the inputs you need. Welcome to the forum.
