  1. RIP. Bats around the world can now rest easy.
  2. You probably won't get that if you use Cakewalk Sonar, which you said you already paid for, and not Cakewalk by Bandlab.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Superior Drummer 3 connects to SONAR X 3 the same way it does to all the other Cakewalk apps for the last 10 years. When inserting the synth, checking one of the choices outlined in green should do what you want.
  4. What happens (in Sonar) if you move the audio (you can't move the video) by the amount it's off and re-export it? Will it then be off by 2 seconds? I would use a video editing software, load the vid, then import the synced-up audio track from a folder you saved it to.
  5. Or the Will Smith version of 'I, Robot'?
  6. "Best" could also be called "least worst".
  7. Are either of you running your programs as Administrator?
  8. Au contraire. Cakewalk recommends using an ASIO audio interface, just not the RealTek ASIO driver, or any of the wrappers like ASIO4All or any generic drivers . I'm about to run out but someone should be able to help you soon.
  9. Your reply unintentionally answered my questions. You want to stop the computer from processing the soft synths so you can more easily manipulate V-Vocal. So processing stops happening on the synths. 🙂
  10. Cool. I understand now. Thumbnails are small.
  11. Turn off so you don't hear them or turn off so all their processing stops?
  12. Since forever, I think, all the SONARs, Music Creators, Pro Audios, et. al. have never been video editors. They will play a video and allow you to record along with it, but you can't move the video, can't slice and dice it, can't add to it. It's just there so you can try to record and sync audio to the video. That being said, I have never worked with vids except to see how it worked (in SONAR Home Studio, I think it was) years ago. Being a long-time reader of these pages, I have read from others with similar dilemmas and the best solution is to use a dedicated video editor. What exactly do you mean by "resolution I need to place the words correctly"?
  13. Understandable. I use an old, slow machine, so I'm used to the apparent snail-like progress of these more complicated programs.* *Not on Cakewalk Sonar yet but am learning what may occur when I do upgrade from this forum. Thanks!
  14. When I'm blocked and no amount of inspirational laxative will help, I record a cover. They're bad, and not in a good way.
  15. I can see that it would be a problem for the user, but it's not a problem with the software. They have cut no features from the free edition. It's like it always was.
  16. What ASIO audio interface are you using?
  17. Do you think the AI that wrote the copy knows what 'disgusting' means? I don't see anything disgusting about the incident. Unfortunate. A little funny. Possibly painful, but nothing like getting poop thrown in your face by a bored orangutang.
  18. Yikes! I remember when that happened. I was in the AF at Vandenberg then.
  19. From another thread I read this morning, I gather this will be a frequent query. Workspaces are not included with the free version of Cakewalk Sonar, despite the start-up message asking you to choose a workspace.
  20. Yes, others who use the free version all have this occur. It's not a problem; workspaces aren't included with the free version. The dialog you see upon installation seems to be something left over from the full version which needs to be removed, I think.
  21. We went to Florida for my brother's birthday and we're the ones that received gifts. He bought 3 of these at a yard sale for $60. Gave them all away. "All you need is a screwdriver".
  22. While Mark seems to be everywhere all the time, quoting him before you reply will alert him that there is a reply the next time he logs in.
  23. Welcome to the tumult! Seriously, congratulations. I think you will be a great asset to this nation.
