I've got a 1970 ES-330.
When I was young, I switched from sax to guitar in a band when there was no sax part. The guitarist showed me barre chords and I played is 'other' guitar while he played his 335.
When I was still young, but a little older, I saw what I thought was a used 335 in a music store, and bought it. I love that guitar.
Eventually I learned the difference, but still prefer the 330. Mainly for the P90 pickups. After playing P90s exclusively for a few years, everything else sounds dull to me. I guess it's what you get used to. It's also lighter on the shoulder.
Since it's an antique, I bought a Casino to play on life gigs.
Later, I got gigs playing outdoors near salt water, so I bought a Parker Dragonfly solid body.
