Having publisher allows instant switching between Designer and Photo. Even if you don't work with layouts that integration can be a major benefit.

Yes, I'm aware of the situation and I already own them (well not the boogie 2 ones as those were post mega group buy release). Im simply making statements that the website is unintentionally misleading as to the fact they are pictured on the website for these tiers but the only way to get them are separate purchases on top of even the MAX bundle.
-
They need to speed up the update roll out. The new versions with resizable UIs are great but the majority are starting to feel dated by that limitation alone. Good to see some options below the normal discounting when stacked with loyalty email codes. Have most everything released some make it on every project others never used and a few are just rare problem solvers. While there are a number of free tilt shift option on the market tbone 2 adds just enough extra to replace the others.

I have literally dozens of plugins across both companies I paid less than $30 a piece for. With many at a third or less than that.

Which tier has the xgear and boogie 2 which are shown on the pages? That is the point the wording fails to suggest some gear isn't included even at the highest tier. I read the quote quite carefully and any reasonable person would expect if you bought every tier on that page that all gear pictured would be included. Which is not the case from your previous post.
-
The team should really re-consider moving those amps and effects to a different page if they are not included in ANY of the tiers yet there are images of them on the product page for those tiers. Basically remove them from the page with a hyper link to Ala Cart availble models also or even a sub section. Or that top section should say even MAX doesn't include everything. Most people understand the idea of tiers mentioned but the inherent implication that the highest tier should include what is pictured seems obvious.

Indeed, they basically jacked up the rates and then offered a "40% discount" on release and no "upgrade" discount. I have loved and supported Affinity but this is one of the only things they have don't that I just don't agree with the approach. Each app was $50 for years at full MSRP. The new apps are now $70 MSRP but they are providing a limited time "discount" and all users get the same pricing even if they own V1 of all the apps. It would be different if the new features were mindblowing, but in general it just feels like what we would have seen with incremental upgrades that we did't get over the last 18 months. Lack of content aware AI of any kind is a glowing omission given the advancements Adobe, Skylum, and On1 made in the last two years....Affinity didn't offer anything and that stuff transforms workflows. The embedded adjust after the fact RAW stuff would be interesting if the RAW engine was overhauled to be competitive with C1 or LR but it isn't on that level. I'll buy it, but the anticipation I had for v2 was a let down due to the cost vs feature ratio. If they had the AI selections and that sort of advancement then the new pricing strucutre would make sense for an upgrade cost. As it is, basically it is a full re-purchase of the trio of apps to get a few current and then the promise of unknown future updates until v3. I was expecting about $20 per app "upgrade" pricing. That seems in line with previous pricing structures and general business practices. I think more people should call them out on the "rate hike" that went along with this release. For brand new users, $99 seems reasonble for the entire suite, it just stings for v1 owners of everything.

Document last updated May of 2021. Wonder if it holds true as the website seems more recent in the link I posted.

AMP max is a far larger package of gear, and if the tonex integration continues it could become even more powerful if you are willing to invest in that also.
-
I don't own it so I can't confirm but are you sure this isn't included now? Seems like those things are now on the gear list: https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/amplitube5/?pkey=amplitube-5-max#thegear I bascially got eveyrthing other than the Boogie 2 since that came out after the crazy group buy stuff.

Photo, Publisher, Desiger https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/ While not audio related, I think there are a number of us using such apps for marketing, design, pormotion work related to our music creation. Disapointed they don't have an additional loyalty upgrade, but we are seeing V2 coming with a new higher price structure, but advantages for those that use both MAC and PC. As for me, that wasn't a perk. At least they didn't go the subscription route.

I personally like this one, for $15 it is a viable option. Though it is on the resoruse hungry side of things so might not the best for "mix" use on an older computer. Of course as to be expected for something sometimes marketed as a mastering EQ.

Black Friday Sale! Upgrades to Vegas Pro from US$79 to VEGAS 20
Brian Walton replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
This is all true but those are functions a whole lot of people don't really need (outside of GPU usage). I've got a couple older versions of Vegas and I just don't like it honestly. Everyone has different needs. For lots of people the m4/3 tiny sensor in th eGH4 isn't good enough and simply being 10 bit doesn't overcome that. So everyone should be aware of the entire workflow before commiting. Davinci is too resourse hungry unless you have a pretty bad-***** computer. The full screen viewing is a personal thing. I know pros that also black out portions of the screen when they need the distractionless view. Where other people can work with a massive SMPTE timecode blasted on the main screen. If working with 4K, most people are using proxy files anyway so the live preview of a "full" view isn't really full rez. I like Premiere Pro but don't like the subscription model. Though Vegas Pro upgrades at $130 feels steep to me. -
Yes, it is very handy for vocal work they why I said it is the only pluign they make that I'll use. Everything else that is pretty comperable costs a lot more.

I'd have to do a full blown uninstall I think to make it work. Last time I attempted that, it left the remains so it still scanned those shells even though nothing from those versions were "activated" Likley not a problem on a new computer build but for one that has been used for years and seen multiple versions the uninstall was not nearly as clean as I'd want it to be. There is also the concern that without WUP adjustments I make to it could break things and make them worthless (I have v9, v10, and v13 plguins that don't work already). I set the sytem up to only scan when I force it, but still WAVES always feels like a bottleneck even though I have a stupid amount of plugins.
-
respecfully, this is not the case in all instances. It SHOULD still work, but I have multiple instances where that is not hte case across multiple computers and I'm not the only person in the world that had this problem.
-
Yeah, I mine scans v9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Super annoying when the only one I still use is Sibilance and ClarityVX (both 13 or 14)
-
I don't have a MAC. Your idea in theory is correct. However, I've had old versions (and new versions) just stop working out of the blue at least 3 times over quite a few years of use. Instead of doing WUP, I just let them die and found an alternative. If you do not have them installed today, I'm not sure you can install v14 if there is already a compatiblity problem. But generally speaking WAVES, in theory, says you can have multiple co-existig versions. ClarityVX is the only plugin they make that I'll put on a project these days.
-
Every WAVES sale like this makes me think of a reality tv show like one of the home makevers where they give away a $1M home and then it costs the recipient so much money in the long run that 90% of them go bankrupt.

Packs seem to be from this company: https://www.producerloops.com/Download-Producer-Loops-Essence-of-Analogue-Vol-1-House.html • Royalty-Free (No Exceptions)

Honestly I think they should offer Core for free to then encourage more people to buy the echosystem. MXXX as a full product just throw it in with the bundles that include all the plugins.
-
Eventually I'll have to take a look at MXXX core but it also seems pretty expensive for a playground to put things I already own in.
-
Out of all the plugins I have - Scaler 2 is easily top 5 for me it has no equals in this area.
-
Who in their right mind saw everyting V2 offered and didn't jump on the $19 upgrades already? Oh wait...looks like Fleer didn't.

https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=117783#:~:text=Yes%2C you can use two,is in the Studio version. Perhpas it is in fact the "full screen / clean feed" that is lacking. I was thinking that 2nd monitor support enabled it, but it does tend to get greyed on on some setups and video cards. It supports the dual monitor setup, but perhpas not the full functionality you are looking for.
