Friends, I'm finally going to be able to migrate from my historic TASCAM US-600 to a new interface and, after evaluating several of them, I decided to purchase the Focusrite Scarlett 4i4 USB-C Audio/MIDI Interface (4th Gen). I'd like to hear your opinions and reviews about using it with Cakewalk/SONAR.

Excellent news! In your opinion, do you think this "driver" would bring a new lease of life to discontinued interfaces in manufacturing and driver updates by the manufacturer. In my case a Tascam US 600?

CHANGE APPEARANCE ORDER OF PLUGINS IN FX REGIONS
Milton Sica replied to Milton Sica's question in Q&A
Thanks. I thought there might be something similar to configuring the tools via Regedit as seen below. -
In this version Is it possible to change the order in which plugins in fx regions appear? I would like Melodyne to be the first one to appear in the list.

Where is the "new patch" ?

PROJECT ONLY OPENS AFTER SWITCHING OFF AND ON THE INTERFACE
Milton Sica replied to Milton Sica's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Guys, to add something to these symptoms of the latest version of Cakewalk. I have installed the latest versions of SONAR in order to monitor its sedimentation and minimum bugs. When opening the Cakewalk project in SONAR I had no problems with the need to turn my interface off and on. -

Everything is fine, except for acquiring a new interface now. -
PROJECT ONLY OPENS AFTER SWITCHING OFF AND ON THE INTERFACE
Milton Sica replied to Milton Sica's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Thank you all for your help. I have some information to share. 1 - Tascam US-600 interface 2 - It is only used by Cakewalk. Other applications use another interface. Other details: The error only occurs when Cakewalk first accesses the first project I am going to work on. If I keep Cakewalk running, close the first project and open a second project, this does not happen. -

Thanks for the help, but the drivers are up to date and the problem remains. -
I am using the latest version of Cdb available. From this version onwards I noticed that, when opening any project, the application stops at the message "ALMOST DONE" and only continues its internal processes until the GUI and project are opened if I turn off my interface and turn it back on. Any tips?

In fact, there was no correction whatsoever. In the version they released, they inserted a code that monitors the existence of messages to be sent to CDB users. In this case, there was this promotion that was discontinued. Others will come, for sure!

When the approach to each person's opinions is made in an unfriendly manner, with "I don't like" markings, there is no way to prosper in a dialogue in this type of tone. There are those who defend anything that is said about the application with tooth and nail and sarcastic language. On the other hand, there are those friends with common sense who, empathetically, try to understand the reasons for a comment. After all, the human race is something much more complicated than "correcting" the hundreds of bugs constantly reported in the versions of SONAR that have been released. For my part, and because I am from Brazil, a third world country, where the exchange rate difference is $1.00 = R$6.00 or 1 euro = R$7.00, paying $71.00 for annual use makes a huge difference. As someone here has already said, the company made its choices and others have also told users to make their own at their convenience. For my part, I will continue using CDB, now with this message that, for me, is quite annoying, and follow the feedback on the new versions of SONAR and its reported, acknowledged and corrected bugs, until a moment of personal perception that the amount charged is acceptable for my economic reality.

Well, I think it's a very questionable strategy for this "update" of the CDB to "include" this constant message in the application, which is free. It's a bad comparison, but I can imagine an automobile company calling for a recall of a 2024 model of a car, the customer taking the vehicle in for the recall and, every time he starts the car, he receives a blaring message on his speakers: BUY THE 2025 MODEL, BUY THE 2025 MODEL, SUBSCRIBE TO THE 2025 MODEL, BECOME A MEMBER OF SONAR, BECOME A MEMBER OF SONAR.......
-
How do I configure it so that I don't receive this new message advertising joining SONAR?

How much can a decent mastering engineer polish the overall mix?
Milton Sica replied to T Boog's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I liked the comparison to a bad cake and its frosting. I would say that Mastering is the "yeast" that makes the cake rise, not the frosting. -
@gustabo what makes you laugh so much? Can you explain something technically or contribute something positive?

I didn't understand the "language expression accent" if you were being ironic, sarcastic or joking. What I meant is that it would be great if I could have access to this documentation.

Where is this specific topic, because this topic too, as far as I understand, is in the wrong place. -
bug report Still Broke: Quick Groups & Inspector

I thought it would be better to post it here, since you've already been following the problem. I just installed version 105 and what surprised me is that, unlike the previous versions, which kept my Templates settings, etc., in this installation they disappeared as if I had nothing. In this installation it seems like a clean install was done. -
How wonderful it would be if you could have access to this documentation.

Could you explain how the "ROBUST SUPPORT THAT SONAR GIVES TO WASAPI" works? I believe this would be important to dispel many of the doubts we have about the use of this or that driver. Thank you!
