? How Many Plugins Do You Presently Have Installed on Your Computer?
jim137 replied to PavlovsCat's topic in Deals
I have over 1800. It has gotten to be a mess. ***I wish the bakers would do some more work on listing synths and effects.*** I really can't remember sometimes what manufacturer created the synth/effect I am trying to find. I have a separate excel file to help me find them. I want to be able to make some synths/effects sticky at the top like maybe ten. How about a search bar to find anything? I am using the add synth button; I realize the explorer like view may be easier to use. I have made custom sets of my favorites; but this becomes a maintenance game trying to keep them current. I work a lot with past projects and retooling/working them which makes me reluctant to remove odd old ones. A usage meter of which plugins/effects are being using globally in my projects would help to whittle down the list. This has been a wish for so many years and versions. -
Pardon my ignorance: What is CLAP? When I installed the vital update, I wondered what it was about.

I swear that I had updated already too. So I just reloaded the Korg Software Pass and it listed the same synths as needing an update. I did a google search and it turns out there was a later version of Software Pass v1.1.11 and I was in 1.1.7. This link has the update: Korg Software Pass. All appear correctly updated now. Too bad the portal does not know to update itself.

GForce Software OB-E now PC with version 2. If owned, just log in to your account and download free. If not owned, it is now Windows compliant if that was keeping you from purchasing it. As an idiot, I bought it when it first came out not realizing it was mac only then with version 1.

Only 4 synths were involved in the upgrade from Vintage Vault 3 to 4 for me (came in at $49.00). Warning, they are some huge. Bit Zone, Hybrid 6000, PX Memories and Prime 8+ were the synths. Bit Zone is 15GB. Hybrid 6000 is 12GB. PX Memories is 28GB. Prime 8+ is tiny 154MB.

Lets talk SOUNDFONTs .. a trip back in time inc link to lots of them

Papelmedia was the source of most of my favorite Soundfonts. Especially the vocal performances. They no longer exist but there are some sites that supposedly have a version of them. -

I surprised no one has mentioned VSTSynthFont and a version of Vienna called Viena. Available here: SynthFont. Old cakewalkers remember sfz+ which was cantankerous. But most of the time I use TX16Wx Available Here: Tx16Wx -
