I want this but I probably don't need it. Looking purely at samples / drum machines, can anyone say if this is worth it if I already have Battery?
-
Yeah, I've heard people talk about doing these kinds of instrument audition projects before. It's definitely something I'm going to try at some point. But my instrument list already has over 400 instruments (certain bundles and libraries like BBCSO count as one) and I know it's missing at least one third of what I actually have. I'm sure many of you have even more VIs, but as a simple hobbyist I am currently overwhelmed by my menagerie. I feel that before I can start auditioning instrument types, I need to go through some kind of process on a more fundamental level to get on top of things. Adding the missing instruments on my list would probably help, as would taking some time to think things through.

Weering off the topic again... I have basically stopped* buying any more effects plugins, unless they do something different or there is some crazy discount. My plan is to find out what I can do with the ones I have (and I do have alot) and if I at some point find out I'm limited by my current options, I'll buy some more then. But at that point I hopefully have a clear picture of what I actually need. With instruments it's more difficult. I know I need and want strings and other orchestral instruments, synths, "ethnic" instruments, percussion instruments of all kinds, things that make weird sounds. And there always seems to be something new that sounds just different enough to warrant the purchase. It's much harder to draw the line, to say that now I have enough. I'm trying to create a more curated collection of instruments so I could have a better understanding of what I have and what I can do with it. I'm not sure how exactly I'm going to go about doing it, but I know I currently have way too much stuff and I strongly believe I need to limit myself, to have less options, in order to be more productive. But there's always something that comes along... * Tried to. It's a process.

I was about to write how I rather invest in libraries I believe I'm going to use rather than libraries I might use but I'm not sure about, and not wanting to buy things on sale just because FOMO, and because of that after much deliberation I wouldn't buy the Anthology Strings. Then I read a few more threads over at VI-Control and listened to a some YouTube demos, and now I have 47 GB of more strings than I probably need. Dang it!

Referral discount works only for people who have never purchased anything from 8dio before.

Slightly off-topic, but this is the last day the Omega Synth is on sale at PluginBoutique for $29. Looked & sounded good, so I picked it up.
-
That IS interesting. I can't say for sure if the middle bundle included Painter when I first viewed the page yesterday, but I'm sure about the prices at my end. Could be a bug or they are doing some kind of A/B testing. Humble Bundle used to be less confusing.
-
Normally ~$60. Offer available until October 9th. https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/1-Instruments/4-Synth/5409-SubLab I think I'll pick this up with the MNTRA Huracan.
-
I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but the middle bundle has a fixed price and contains Painter. That's why I said I don't need the full bundle (with the fluctuating price), because I'm only interested in Painter and the brush packs. But I agree that the difference is negligible. I'm complaining out of pricinciple.

That's weird. I keep seeing this: But actually now that I look at it more carefully I'm not interested in the full bundle. The price of the 23 item bundle seems to be fixed and that would be enough for me. I bought a similar bundle back in 2020 and it looks like all but one of the brush packs are new, so this could be a nice upgrade. Looks like @telecode 101 was right: everyone wants our money today.
-
When I first loaded the page: 5 minutes later: Yeah, screw that. I'm fine if the middle bundle is BTA*, but I don't like it when the price of the full bundle increases with time like that. * Beat The Average

Nothing. They just want your money.

Normally €/$149, now €/$59. Deal available through October 3rd. https://www.uvi.net/beatbox-anthology-ii That's a lot of boxes.
-
Normal price €199, now €119. Launch offer ends October 17th/18th (IDK, the site shows a countdown and I'm bad with dates). https://www.westwoodinstruments.com/instruments/solowindsuntamed/ I looked at the price and said to myself "nope!", but then I listened to the demos: It's still very, very likely to be a "nope", but... damn!

Should I get the Neoverb for $9.99 or wait for the next good deal on some iZotope collection that includes it? It's either that or some Guitar Amp that I don't really need.
-
Too good a deal to pass up, so I made the purchase. Let's see how long it takes to get the serial.
-
I think this offer was available on Zinio, but doesn't seem to work anymore. And they don't offer any of the free gifts.
-
Ooh, I forgot all about those. Thanks!
-
Sorry to bump this, but how did I not notice this earlier? Phase Plant for €71.90? That's historical low, right?
-
Tails for $15 could be nice. I'm pretty sure I have enough reverbs, but I like collecting Unfiltered Audio plugins. ?
-
WTF? There was no mention yesterday that the $10 voucher would expire after 24 hours. Oh well, didn't want to give them that $9.99 anyway.

Yep, you're right. So I guess this is a good price for some plugins, for others there have been better deals. -

There's a small notice on the bundle page saying: -

Welp. There goes my money.
