  1. If only VintageWarmer were in there ...
  2. Truedat. Mostly developed by the guy behind the Alesis Andromeda. Classy stuff.
  3. You heretic you! I should WUP yowarse
  4. Not at all. This one is a delicious rendition of a grand Fazioli, played by Freddie Mercury. Also includes some great reverb effects. One of my preferred piano libraries.
  5. ... and I can finally crack that Macallan 1981 to celebrate the year I found the love of my life.
  6. I got the Contrabass Balalaika. Gewd stouph.
  7. Get bx_oberhausen from PluginAlliance (or bx_masterdesk) then duck and cover.
  8. Great first post, TR, welcome to our forum.
  9. Dang, Pianoteq 7 must have been the most interesting (and low cost) upgrade we got this year, even including a new NY Steinway.
  10. It was a weird experience anyway. I taught at Rovaniemi University near the Russian border and the dean of the faculty took me to see Santa in his own post office near the polar circle. Still got a picture of the dean and me on his lap. Don’t care about where I put that photograph, mind you. Still, great town, Rovaniemi, with some lovely houses by the architect Alvar Aalto, reindeer for food and a sauna in each apartment. Interesting people, those Sámi. Didn’t like the Russian style grocery stores though. And yeah, most students nursed their liquor.
  11. Forgot about that IK Group Buy. Got another Syntronik (full) for $66 from ProAudioStar which got me in at the $299 level with SampleTank 4 Max, Modo Bass, Modo Drums and that sweet Hammond B-3. Also loved Arturia’s free Analog Lab 5 upgrade. Their latest update even brought all AL4 presets back for a total of over 7K.
  12. He sadly passed away a year ago.
  13. Indeed. Nicky Henson was her second husband.
  14. Only if you need or want it now. Will be under $10 within a year.
  15. And it’s still available for $9.99 as per Larry’s find:
  16. Then again, iZotope Iris 2 for free, all 10 GB of it ...
  17. Preferred the F6 to the F7 when I saw it in the flesh. More concise, maybe even couch bound.
  18. I'm waiting on my Fantom 6 to go with the RD-88 The RD-2000 and the Fantom 8 are too unwieldy for me so that ruled them out.
  19. Nice piece. Sturdy. The same PHA-4 action with escapement as in the FP-60. Speakers (tweeters and woofers) for home. Reworked acoustic and electric SuperNatural pianos, plus 3000 Zen-Core sounds including famous Roland synths. Capable of loading Zen-Core sound banks. Compatible with MainStage. All in all, quite remarkable stage piano plus synth for the price. And without particle board (mdf) underneath, unlike most 88s. Also, relatively light and small, with CC control on top.
  20. Was thinking about the same (plus the SPL Vitalizer). Townhouse resembles the SSL comp and we have many. Plus I got Iron recently. SSL G Channel is nice (and SSL approved) for orchestral but many find the EQ harsh and prefer the E Channel or wait for the superior SSL9kJ to go on sale. The SPL Vitalizer should have that magic touch. Of these, only the SSL4kG and the Masterdesk have TMT inside. And the later is also a UAD stalwart, so that’s where my coupon will go, even though there’s already IK’s Lurssen and One doing similar things, as does iZotope Ozone, but Masterdesk looks like an interesting all-in-one solution with those four TMT settings and an easy 1-2-3 workflow.
