  1. I view them as twin brothers. One Good, one Evil. Everything runs better through Brave on my system. Especially streaming services like YouTube and Twitch. I've only been using Brave a few days now and here's what it's done so far so I'm happy . . . 99% of that is just from Twitch and I don't watch it that much. I can watch a stream for just 20 minutes or so and watch the adblock counter just keep ticking away. Hundreds a night. I really love some of the live music acts and there is one game streamer I really like too. She messes with some of the guys she randomly gets teamed up with in COD and scolds them for swearing and talking dirty. It's more entertaining to watch her for that then the actual game. Good clean fun which is a rarity these days.
  2. If you take a tone generator and find the frequency and play it in just the ear you hear the Tinnitus in you can actually help it and in some cases make it go away completely. I've done this and it has helped. Another thing that happens to me is I'll go deaf in one ear and suddenly hear a really loud ringing. My hearing immediately starts to fade back in while the ringing fades out and it feels like someone is pressing in my middle ear. According to my ENT Dr. they don't know why it happens but it is actually very common. It scares me because I worry one day it will happen and my hearing won't fade back in. It's happened a few times but when I went to bed and got up the next morning everything was back to normal. And it's a very uncomfortable feeling on top of the deafness and ringing. Loud sounds don't trigger it, it can happen any time. It's weird and scary.
  3. Did she ever get back to you on this? ?
  4. The vast majority of crashes and instability problems I had went away when I read this advice elsewhere years ago and started following it. The first thing I do now is pick a motherboard then go to the manufacturer's website and do a search for supported ram and cpu's. I always go with non-overclockable set speed RAM and prefer Kingston.
  5. That's great! I'm happy for you. It's not an easy thing to do to lose that much and keep it off. ??
  6. I recently tried Cashew milk too. It's a lot heavier than Almond milk. It was good but the Almond seemed sweeter. It also has fewer calories and carbs than Almond milk. Real milk has a lot of cholesterol and carbs and that's bad. Plus the jury is out on calcium intake at a certain age. Some studies find it actually makes bones more brittle after 50. Whole unfortified non-homogenized milk is actually the only truly healthy milk for you and it's more the fat content in it that's good for you than anything else. I don't think you can buy it at the store anymore. But you can still get it at farms directly if you tell them you want it for your kitties. nudge nudge wink wink. I know quite a few people who do just that back home. Everything I've read said diabetics should avoid milk except for whole because studies show there are certain fats in whole that protects against it, obesity, and heart disease but who knows. I can find studies that show it's good and bad. My nephew and one of my uncles died from diabetes and it runs in my family. I'm an anomaly. I was big as a horse and healthy as one too. That is not the norm and I imagine I will pay for letting myself go some day.
  7. Or perhaps some Frampton covers maybe?
  8. You are 100% right. I lost more than most normal 6' tall men weigh and have kept it off over the last 3 years and I'm only getting healthier as I age since I started lightly working out and watching what I eat like a Hawk. No processed carbs (candy, cake, pie) and no grains of any kind. My taste buds changed so much that when I drink unsweetened vanilla flavored almond milk now it's almost too much. But on holidays when I do eat cookies and pies I get high as a kite. It's the strangest darn thing. Plus all my old bad habits come flooding back and it's incredibly hard to get back and stay on track. It was then I realized that I didn't crave these things before because they tasted good, it was how they made me feel, and it put a whole new perspective on it for me. Everything was going awesome up until a large yellow vehicle that hauls young people every morning and afternoon ran a stop sign and almost killed me. Ya never know what's going to get you.
  9. That's still pretty heavy for a poodle.
  10. There's a lot of free stuff out there so it's not a big deal but to lock your "free" offerings to a bit of software that costs a lot of money seems wrong to me. The pro's get the full version for free because the cost get's passed along to their customers and tax write-off's and such. It just seems backwards or perhaps a hidden incentive is involved.
  11. The ikeyboard 5x is exactly what I've been looking for and the price is right too. $179 on Amazon. I could get it free because I have a lot of reward points from my credit card for some major appliance purchases I recently had to make that I could only get on Amazon. I'll have to dig around and see if it plays nicely with Studio One. Edit: It does work with Studio One. The ad I was looking at didn't list it but they do on their site. ?? (And I see you had it in your OP too. DOH! Getting old. Sorry. ??)
  12. It's not really free if I have to spend $400 on the full version of Kontakt to use it. The people who put out "free" samples for Kontakt must get some kind of kickback from NI to do this.
  13. Then explain to me why a new i5 6 core blows my i7 4 core 8 thread out of the water. (I know why. Just trying to be funny.) ? BTW/OT ... Do remember in another thread you were asking about the emoji's suddenly becoming very limited here on the forum? I installed the Brave secure browser today and it's happening to me now too in it but not in Chrome. The Winkey plus semicolon trick works though. So far Brave has blocked 2,600 ad's and cookies and stopped 50MB of data from being sent. And I haven't been on much today at all.
  14. That sucks Bill. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can get to Jersey and that salty ocean air will help.
  15. It's not a Sphere Exclusive anymore now is it. ? I really like how this guy explains how to he uses compression too.
  16. The only time I get to mess with my music is when she's gone, so to be honest, I do look forward to her being gone. She'll be in Texas for 3 days next week. Then back to Hawaii in May I think. Nothing important going on in May now is there. ? She was gone 3 weeks every month during our first 13 or so years together. She hasn't traveled like that in over 10 now. Been together 24 or 25 years?
  17. My wife just had to go there for 2 weeks for work. Hawaii is nice. In fact, I highly recommended that she go back and stay there.
  18. I got a new keyboard and kept hitting F12 by accident because of how close the keys are together. Took me forever to figure out what the hell I was hitting and causing that screen to come up. Try it. Hit F12 while your web browser is up. Hit it again to close the screen.
  19. The gold chains seem to have smoothed out the middle. ?
  20. Well that's depressing. He mentioned the high amount of RAM and how games really wouldn't utilize it. Makes me wonder if it benefits miners in some way and that's who they are really targeting. I don't know. I also see one of his benchmarks used Quake II. I've run that on far older equipment smooth as glass. I don't get it? This is why I got out of PC gaming. It got too confusing on what would play what properly and the cost and setup and keeping it running. IRT Redneck Rampage, it's $10 bucks at https://www.gog.com/game/redneck_rampage_collection and supposedly runs on Windows 10. If I'm reading their forum correctly Gog bundles it with a version of DOSbox that has been tested and runs fine on Windows 10. It comes with all the add-on packs and a link to download the cuss pack.
  21. I also use https://vms.drweb.com/scan_file/ I get a lot of false hits on Virus Total, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it has caused me to double check everything. If I get a hit on both of those sites then I won't run a file. I got a hit on the Brave secure web browser installation file today on one of the scanners on Virus Total but got 0 on Dr. Web.
  22. I still use my Audio Technics stage mic I bought for $99 back in the 80's. The foam inside the screen is crumbling away. I bought a Blue Bluebird and it's very sensitive to my voice. I have a very boomy voice with a lot of sibilance and it pics up everything. I spend more time fixing vocals than I do anything else. Honestly, I should probably sell it. It's like brand new.
