  1. Hey friends! ❤️

Delighted to share our brand new Disconnected Souls track! Featuring a fabulous guest vocalist :)

Little less out there musically compared to some of other offerings, but still a few fun twists and turn whilst hopefully being catchy and anthemic.

If you get chance to listen then I hope you enjoy!

  2. Thanks @treesha- the variety is the most important thing to me! :) The Disconnected Souls album really embodies this.

Glad to hear you like Dissonant Whispers! That was one of the ones I took on more of a lead on and we learned a lot about orchestration during it that I'm looking forward to applying to other tracks in future.

Yeah I see what you mean about the vocals in Monachopsis - I do think this one ended up feeling a bit rushed towards the end of recording/mixing everything else.
Backing vocals/harmonies are absolutely another priority focus for the future!

Really appreciate your kind words and support.

BLIMEY!!  . . . Where did this come from ? Great stuff my friend really enjoyed the trip 🫱

Didn't like the mix on  Saints, have to agree with Wooks on the compression thingy, to me it seem a little muggy .. but 'my Oh my' the other tracks are really v good. I just love the energy they send .. I can see why Nigel liked them and I must agree ..

    Well done my friend B|

    Steve (SRM)

Thank you kindly Steve! It's interesting because I feel like the overall mix on Saints is better (and we're working with a higher tier engineer) but having said that it's the first track of that project and sometimes you have to do a few to really get the process and overall sound sorted. I really appreciate the feedback from everyone, which I will take onboard. though and I'm super glad you and others like the other project tracks.

Given you enjoyed the other projects here's a few others! (Sorry for spam and no need to listen at all)

In Sϕnder has two other releases and we'll hopefully have an EP out by end of year. Those are:

DS has three other released vids and another one out next week which I can't wait to share! :) Busy busy busy!

    Have a great day all!

    Hi Matthew

Really liked the track - great stuff

One thing - i just felt the mix was a bit Bass lite - thought it might be my little desk monitors, but I listened to the Disconnected Souls and the In Sϕnder videos (which I REALLY liked by the way) and the Bass was good I thought on both of those.

    Apart from that, cool stuff

    Nigel

    Hi Nigel,

Thanks very much for the kind words!

That's a useful observation - one of the things I wanted in this project was for the bass to stand out a bit more as it's own instrument then just blending with the guitar, but perhaps we need to go further. Some of the upcoming tracks I have sent back mix notes on about this, so it is definitely something on my mind! Hopefully you'll feel the next ones get the balance right :)

    Best wishes,
    ~Fletch~

  5. Cool track - thanks for sharing! :)
Agree with the comment about panning of the guitar, but other than that feels quite well balanced

  6. Love the atmospherics! This is really cool :) The synth tone at 0:25 is a favourite.
    Thanks for sharing Wookiee!

    • Thanks 1
  7. Thanks treesha! Really appreciate it :)

We were trying to strike a balance with the  mix - we're a bunch of goths so there was inevitably going to be a bit of a melancholy vibe but we also wanted to make it a bit more accessible / poppy too.

With respect to the heavier stuff - I have two other projects.
Disconnected Souls is cinematic metal; it does get intense in parts but a lot of it is about conjuring up big atmospheres.
In Sϕnder is cyber/electronic metal, designed to be a lot more energetic in general with big synth sounds

There are four more tracks coming for Spectral, two of them being a bit more heavier in nature too!

Again thanks for your time and interest!

  8. Hi Wookiee - thanks for the feedback :)

I'm not so sure - I don't have great ears for this sort of thing!

He certainly was keen to not overdo this when we were discussing things during the preliminary stages, so I'm hoping he stuck to the original plan.

  9. Hi friends -  hope you're well.

Me again with another new musical project.
This one is a lot less heavy and more atmospheric.
We worked with a really top engineer on it and I'm so proud of how it turned out :)

If you get chance to listen then I'm so super grateful ❤️
    Wishing you a wonderful day!

The conditions for this error vary, but it occurs most frequently when automating Serum, a well-known synthesizer.
(Though to be clear, it happens in many other situations as well.)

I have recently had a crash whilst working on automation with Serum - but it's not been reproducible to the point that I've raised a case with Sonar/Xfer yet. I also can't recall it generating a plugin crash, so something else might have been going on in Sonar at the time.

If you have a project that you believe has had the issue I'll happily try and test further.

@Matthew Simon Fletcher By any chance, do you use divisimate ? I downloaded the trial a couple of days ago and I can't make it work correctly. I understood the routing but I have a lot of hanging notes (no note off event..). Did you notice the same behavior ?
For me it's unusable for now but I don't know if the bug is in Divisimate or Sonar

I've used divisimate in the past, yes.
I don't remember getting a huge amount of hanging notes - or at least not any more than usual!

  12. Hi Glenn, I think the problem for me is that it's not always obvious in larger projects where things should/shouldn't be, so there have been times I've removed stuff I didn't mean to due to this.

I've verified in other software that there definitely isn't any noise at all - as that was my theory it was simply amplifying something tiny.

Well I hope I never get you as a taxi driver, I'll never get there,  'cause you'll be going the wrong way.:S

Not sure why you're being personal or how that remark relates to my comment.
Mark and Noel have explained the position - new features won't work but it's not going to stop you being able to load Sonar projects in Cakewalk.

  14. There shouldn't be anything that will break - my understanding is backwards compatibility is something being considered.

There might just be certain functions that aren't as easy to do (i.e. controlling performance of soft synths) or are slower (midi editing)
