I wrote and produce my very first "song" in Guitar Pro! firstmetal1.mp3

Glad you brought that up. Hardware specs in the forum signatures of you and @Grem caught my attention lately. Why you guys settled for only 32 GB of RAM, while everything else is maxed out?

BiaB is cool but I don't need automatic accompaniment at all. Every single note has to be my own. Apparently my best bet is routing MIDI from Guitar Pro to a DAW and trigger guitar, bass, drum VIs. I should also look into Cakewalk, Reaper, and Mixcraft's staff notation features.

Are the built-in realistic sounds and effects good enough for producing acceptable demo tracks of your songs?

MySongBook tabs aren't normal Guitar Pro files, are they? They're gone if you don't continue your MSB subscription?

Original AIR team now operates under UJAM brand. AIR's new plugins are just new UI with old DSP. Transfuser 3 would require new sample content, maybe renewed licenses for time-stretching algorithms and file formats, and a whole user interface development from scratch.

I love freeee plugins. I should install them some time.

First impressions? Feels like an upgrade after FM8?

Can you please give more details about that workflow? I'm struggling to manage my songwriting and demo-making process, so I'm very interested to learn about a new approach.

Congratulations! I was waiting for your confirmation. I'm pulling the trigger tomorrow. Are you liking it so far?

YES, IT IS! I listened to some demos entirely made with Guitar Pro, and they were quite good.

I made the smart move of using my personal email address for all the plugin marketplaces and product vendors. Now I dedicate the first two hours of weekdays to delete deals emails, this I don't receive discount offers when I need a particular one.

Even if GP8 is not up to precise MIDI editing for VI dynamics, I guess it's still valuable for songwriting and preparing a rough demo?

Thank you. I want to know the fretboard like the back of my hand.

I'm so used to arranging songs by recording MIDI in a DAW from start to finish. I was interested in GP for guitar learning, but I'm surprised that people here are using it for the whole composition process. Apparently GP can handle drumming and piano notes too, just like a normal music notation software. I should download the demo.

Do you also do all the drum, bass, etc. arrangements and such in GP? Do you think transitioning from DAW piano roll to GP's music notation would be difficult?

That's cool. I'm just a beginner; is it useful for learning guitar as well?

https://store.steampowered.com/app/220700/RPG_Maker_VX_Ace/ It's a program to make JRPG (Japanese role-playing game) types of games without coding. Fun way to pass time if you're into games like original Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and such.
