  1. Using large amounts of GB to promote a library like this doesn't attract me. Music developers resemble game developers by creating bloat these days. For what it is this is overkill.
  2. You probably have the equivalent anyway. Reselling Reason is pretty tough.
  3. That would have put me back on the Waves food chain. If you have Gold and Maxx, Platinum is not a tempting upgrade anyway.
  4. Those things look really complicated compared to a DAW.
  5. According to the link for me it doesn't say that. I did notice the seller is not Newegg. The downside is both drives are 3yr warranty.
  6. http://rigid-audio.com/index.html
  7. BTW the best bargain is http://everyplugin.com/inspire-virtual-instruments-collection.html The signature series are also under $50.
  8. I tend to stay away from companies that are all about loops that decide to enter the VST market. Sample Magic was short lived while W.A. gives their away or sell em cheap.
  9. The other issue is there are great deals in the summer that are better than BF/Xmas deals.
  10. That should be your sig at vi-control.
  11. If it were less than $10 I might consider it. I have so many midi files as it is.
  12. Save it for next year. I still hope to get Noir some day. Just curious for those who have Ostinato Noir, is it worth the 66 euro? That's about the same price as Pigments 2. I'm thinking of moving up the Arturia food chain. I know it's an apple vs. oranges purchase.
  13. Most DAWs have something like this. Plus I'm sure there are free alternatives out there.
  14. Same here many others have. Eventually in my often failed attempt to reduce plugin bloat Waves is on my list to stop buying because with so many individual licenses such things like WUP doesn't work for me. With Melda I never pay for an upgrade. When I TRacks 5 all of my individual plugin s were updated,
  15. No. Your comment reminded me of the pro iLok crowd.
  16. LOL! A paid shill could not have done better. Most likely they go to a studio that has the same gear. Basically Waves is tryin to erase their bad history just like Pace. They make great stuff it's just the other nonsense. I have to buy duplicate licenses to avoid that reason you mentioned, except it's not a proprietary dongle. I don't have to deal with that using IK, Izotope, or Melda. It's less complicated. There's no shortage of reading on the web where people stop using them (not for their quality). There's a reason why they have become the bargain plugins.
  17. Of course we left out the real dud called WUP and crap shoot installation. I bet they are beatin the pants off PA in their sales.
  18. I managed to authorize the demo loading it in a DAW.
  19. I love Synchron, the older player is like the Melda of romplers. I don't like VSL's policies. I had issues with Engine back when it was under Yellow Tools. After break a storage drive I started to realize how much sample hoarding there was. There are some users who stick with a library and learn it well. Eventually these proprietary players and download managers are just going to add more confusion. You would also think Spitfire with their player would have working demos.
  20. http://everyplugin.com/gold.html I can buy two new license for less than 1 Gold WUP. I'm done with Waves.
  21. Thanks you helped me save on the 2nd product.
  22. Web back online but their app is offline. What a tease.
  23. I've upgrade stuff I got for free at $9. These guys deserve some money.
  24. Does one really need this If you have IK, Melda, and Izotope? I'm starting to notice that when certain DAWs get an upgrade that initial first time VST scan takes a long time.
  25. Obviously not if it doesn't require the player. I have installed player libraries on 4 machines before. The Spitfire app is a hassle using another machine because it assumes it's already installed.
