Transitioning between scoring apps is far more annoying than switching DAWs. Everything you do in Finale is a habit and then the others don't work the same way,
-
Now that notation is in Studio One they never bother with Notion. I guess the market for scoring apps isn't as big as it use to be if that's the only thing you develop, Two of the most popular DAWs don't have notation.

That's the way I look at it. I can't start growing collection of spare drives due to buying larger ones. I bought external ones for EW and Musio. Nice to see the Orchestra is for Kontakt. Their last sale I bought something and today I forgot the name of it. The only one's I'm interested are the Albions.

FL Studio Upgrades to All Plugin Edition ca 45% Off
kitekrazy1 replied to ralfrobert's topic in Deals
The verb and a synth were given to Producer. I have the Plugin Ed. that came with VSTs. They are only vst2 and some won't work in other DAWs. They do have plans to update those but they are too busy improving FL. I have no issue wanting to use them in another DAW. You can't do that with Live so with FL and Reason you use the plugin version. If one is unsure they go to their forum and ask about whether you have to pay for something new in FL. -

If you own everything you get new stuff. The exception is the sounds for Flexx which are 3rd party. I have yet to pay for their new FL Studio plugins. -

That is a good deal. Eventually that is new plugins for free. -
I don't want to be at the moment of desperation to look for illegal means to use it. We shall see what happens. Pretty odd that Finale 95 still works. 32 bit versions of Finale are also stable. They broke a promise that you could import PDF . That kind of software is $300 or some type of sub.

This is the Pro version. I bought it anyway even though I rarely use staff software. I thought about going to the free Muse software. Download a course on Udemy for $10 and your set to go. Interesting Sibelius outlasts Finale.

Well I thought it was only direct from the developer. It was a week before this was released to vendors.

I've done it before when they added more plugins to a bundle. Waves discussions are like Apple vs. PC. We keep regurgitating the same responses. They hardly ever seem to get attention on other forums. I hope Koby carries more developers since I don't buy much from him. They have enough fanboys to keep them going.
-
Still the usual reply when it comes to Waves. I've been part of their race down to zero having 3 machines.
-
Those are the good ones. They don't really make a dud.
-
So is that defense along with the improvadongle. Older versions working is a testament to the quality of their software. The RENN stuff is still the best. Their licensing sucks. Consider all of the other developers who even require iLok allow for more than one system. They can do the race down to zero all they want but tied to one machine went out long ago. Yet their race down to zero is running out of steam as there are users who will not forgive them when a stuffed shirt tried to force the sub model. Their pricing is competitive but their licensing is a fail. At least you pay the same WUP price if your plugins are 10 years old. Sucks to be a Mac user/ Your choice is WUP or another developer. BTW this is cheaper than WUP on Gold/Renn bundle. On the land f wayyyyyyyyyyyy toooooooo many plugins, Waves is an easy pass.

That is not unusual these days. Cinesamples marketing isn't that great. I never trust an developer's demos. They have yet to figure out that walkthroughs say a lot more than some audio file. Some of these small libraries that represent parts of Europe and there is no walkthrough or anything to educate the uniqueness of a library. I like what developers are trying to do with their proprietary players but often they fall short of Kontakt. Many forget that Kontakt wasn't even a close second to Gigastudio.

I spend hours last night trying to get the upgraded drive to boot. I've spent more time using the command line than I do a DAW. Usually I don't like disconnecting drives just to try to get something to work, I would use the BIOS boot selection for that new drive and OS not found. The simple solution that worked was unplugging my hub that has the iLok, Usually I never bother with a BIOS after putting a system together, This one was over 10 years ago, You forget how a BIOS works from manufacturers. I found the boot order that didn't say boot order. Now I can move the bloat around.

I have yet to install the Musio versions of Cinesamples.
