Thanks jack c. The piano is a single velocity layer with a simple stereo mic. So limitations for eq. But appreciated ?

Just getting slightly concerned as well. Ordered and paid T&S 3rd June. Got the advice about payment received. Nothing since. Not even an email saying we will be late shipping (I ordered a HD upgrade). Hopefully things will be ok.. -
Swiftly moving past the fact you have 666 responses. Only for the fact that I am about to upgrade to Komplete 13 in order to get Noire. I had no idea this sounds as good as it did.

Just an update that the Vital free soundbank for May is now available https://forum.vital.audio/t/june-2021-free-patch-sharing-thread/7065 Just place in the Vital docs folder than import from within Vital and it will auto convert. You can then delete the file you placed in docs.

Native Instruments Komplete upgrade deals starts June 1st!

I'll probably get it anyway due to the freebies. Without shipping they are asking £85, NI £89 which is the same as T&S with shipping. So not a biggie (but some UK retail outlets are charging the same and incl postage. First world problems eh! -

Something I have noticed about T&S and they are doing again on this offer. It is free shipping on orders over £75. But they put the amount before VAT (which is £70+) to calculate on. Which means they then add on shipping . Bringing it up to the same price as NI. I've been caught by them before. Adding up goods to reach a total to get free shipping but had it added on anyway because of how they calculate. Not a big problem but just seems a "hidden way" of doing things . -

I'm in the same boat Vernon. But looking at the comparison on NI website of K12 to K13 standard. The standouts for me are Noire, Cuba, Gtr Rig Pro 6, Session Guitarist Electric Sunburst. Plus the freebies from T&S. So I think I will bite this time. Besides, I like the fact that all my editions are on a hard drive. Just feel a bit more secure. -

Jumped on these when Ben first launched them. You would be mad not to get them. Can't praise the m enough. Make sure its ver 1.2. -
2 things come to mind. 1) Go into plugin manager and exclude one by one the vst's you are using (so exclude one , run plugin manager, then open Cakewalk and see if it loads ok, repeatfor each vst) 2) If you can - move each vst outof its folder to the desktop, open Cakewlak.Again see if it opens and runs. (Don't forget to move them back )

Doug. You may have hit on why I will never touch iLok. I had a trial vst some time ago that put iLok on a pc built for music. And rendered it useless. I could not delete iLok. And it would not allow me to access files etc. And gave up in the end. Though the pc was getting on a bit. I had to invest in a new pc. I thought it was iLok but had no evidence and my understanding of computers was limited then.

Yes. Black Friday means Spitfire will be back to these prices. And maybe The Ton will be as good as 2 years ago (BDT, Edna Earth, Piano). Agree that Spitfire have a more sound design orientation in some of its instruments than NI. However Arkhis was in collab with OT (Orchestral Tools). And sounds very interesting.

Very tempted by Albion V - Tundra (love me a bit of on the edge of silence). But NI summer sale is coming up and could get K12 to K13 upgrade and possibly Arkhis for the less than Tundra. Can only get one.......?

You can now get for free hundreds of free patches on the official Vital forum submitted by users. Each months submissions are rolled into a single file. And there are patchs from Nov '20 to April '21 https://forum.vital.audio/t/may-2021-free-patch-sharing-thread/6730 You will find some duplicates between months. But just show all presets and delete the duplicates. These new files are put in the Vital documents folder and then imported/ converted. You can then delete the file from docs.

Same for me. However the chances of getting a MOTU M2 are very slim at the moment (certainly here in the UK). So I got the Presonus Studio 26c which hass a loopback facility as well. Good specs and a bit cheaper. Plus a load of freebies incl Studio 5 Artist (just got an offer to upgrade to Pro) Ujam Rowdy bass, Arturia Lab Intro (got an offer from them via this freebie for Pigments for £60. Plus these others https://www.presonus.com/products/Studio-Magic

I find I have to completely uninstall BA everytime (I use the free Revo Uninstaller - highly recommended) and d/load and install the new version . Otherwise I always have 2 versions sitting there. And the whole app becomes unresponsive.

I also have 8.5 Producer on my machine as well as CWB. There was no issues at all in either accessing old vst inst or effects. In fact I just no longer use 8.5 as CWB is light years ahead now. I never changed after 8.5 due to the bugs I kept hearing about. The fact that Gibson no longer allowed me to upgrade through my usual dealer etc. I would strongly suggest you do the same. You won't regret it.
