Just a footnote (as a fan of MSF): Wishmaster strings was added with version 17.04 along with some others. Recent additions include: 17.05: Added new instruments: Constellation keys, Chidori pad, Choirs of veritas, Evil alien bass, Hellriser bass, String machine. 17.04: Added new instruments : Hou5 pluck, Lo-fi vibes, Wishmaster strings. 17.03: Added new instruments: Hyperboy, Dark tech 17.02: Added MSoundFactory instrument Atmospace. 17.00: Added new instruments: Cyberpunk bass, Trap bass, Cyclicity, Ethereal keys, Alchemist whoosh, Organic scape 16.11: Added new instruments: Cosmosis, Cyber bear, Deep vibes, Frozen sparks, Magic dust, Mecha vox, Neon dolls, Solar flare, Sonic pulse, Sugar rush, Twisted wave Yup. It seems there is a difference between (1) instruments that are added to MSF itself and therefore listed as changes to the versions (such as above) and (2) instruments that are available / sold as add-ons, such as the Power_______ series, the Analog Empire______ series, Meldway Grand, etc. and are found in the MSOUNDFACTORY & MDRUMMER ADDONS tab of the MPluginManager. FYI: I took the instruments added to the versions of MSF (above) from the MCompleteBundle Change Log which doesn't list the instruments that are listed in the ADDONS tab of MPluginManager. I seem to recall using the ADDONS tab for some of the the instruments (such as Analog Empire Pads and Strings) separately from doing the PLUGINS update.

Last week, I wrote to IK to ask if 12 items I don't have licenses for (because they came out after my IK purchases) were included in the new Total Studio MAXGrade Offer (Alien Harbours, Beat Machines, Bionic Drums, Circuit Damage, Extraterrestrial Saxophone, Ring of Doom, Salsa Percussion Loops, Swarm, Syntronik 2 Synth-X, The Code Volume 1, The Code Volume 2, Vector Vision. As concerns Syntronik 2, I would suggest that instead of speculating (or assuming they had no reason, or it was arbitrary), people can ask IK.

. . . and right below the picture it says: Whether or not the "build and upgrade your channel with an expandable library" means they will be ala carte or part of tiered upgrades, I think that surely indicates it remains to be seen--i.e., something planned and to be made available in the future as you suggested. I could be wrong, but that's how I read the image + text. Maybe it will be part of a promo--e.g., renew your subscription now and for a limited time we'll throw in . . . ., or something like that. Hope that takes off some of the suckiness.

I could be wrong, but as I have understood it ever since development of the new products were first announced a couple of years ago, Cakewalk Next was never intended to be the next step after Cakewalk Pro Audio, Cakewalk SONAR, and Cakewalk by Bandlab, but rather from Bandlab the web app / Bandlab Studio. Others have commented on converting *.cwp projects and accessing them in Cakewalk Next if that's what your intent is. Another option is to use Cakewalk Sonar, not Cakewalk Next.

I don't generally use the quick start screen, but I checked some of the recent files I have opened and they do include a few *.mid files. Out of curiosity, does the current quick start screen also include *.wrk files? ADDENDUM: I answered my own question re: *.wrk files: yes. (FWIW: date/time/length error reported via in-app form.)

FWIW: When ceez started the "Until there's a separate discussion for Product Center" thread, I suspect ceez might have been implying that there should be a separate website page under Cakewalk Products for "Cakewalk Product Center." I have no opinion on that; it's for others to decide.

You are correct. Notice the date of my post: 5 days ago!!! Also keep in mind that I replied directly to a post that read "it updates to 10.0.094 and again singing in Bandlab is impossible." Thanks for asking. PS: I know you know this, but for the benefit of others who might not have seen it:

(1) I checked the other day by searching the IK Store for Syntronik. I just checked again. The site says 0 [zero] for Syntronik Products. (2) The other day I also checked the IK Forum and Syntronik came up as being discontinued--but if you already own it, you can still use it. (3) I just checked on line (several places). Audio Plugin Deals has an article "Still Using Syntronik 2 in 2025 (Discontinued)? These Are the Synths Worth Loading Up and As Well As Alternative Synths" It might be true (I don't know) that some third-party vendors have them for sale, but so far as I have seen. IK does not have them listed for sale.

Thanks. I was interested, in part to pick up the one syntronik model I don't have, but it looks like IK has discontinued the syntronik line (plus it's no longer included in the Total Studio Bundle). Looks like it includes a large number of Premium Tonex Models and Nine Pianoverse Models, though. VERSION COMPARISON

I lost track of IK's product variations. Is this (TS Max 5) a bundle that just came out recently, or is it one that's been out for a few months or years?

However, that is not what I was confused about when I gave your post the emoji. To understand better, please follow the posts in order: So, my comment was about Mississippi Queen and Honky Tonk Women. After the post with War's Low Rider, you quoted me and the posted New Order's The Perfect Kiss. Oh is there now.... Given the context, it seemed to me your "Oh is there now..." was questioning my comment "there's a cowbell in the video," a reference to Mississippi Queen. Possibly you thought I was confused because there was no cowbell in the intro to the New Order video. If you notice my reply to your "Oh is there now..." rejoinder, I posted a picture from Mississippi Queen showing the cowbell being hit after saying "I vote for Mississippi Queen because there's a cowbell in the video. " So, I still have no idea why you questioned me. To my way of thinking (i.e., chronologically, in this case), you could not have been referring to the New Order video which you had not posted yet. Ergo, I am still confused as to your rejoinder. As has been my custom, I would be happy to remove the confused emoji if you clue me in to as to what "Oh is there now..." refers if not my observation that the Mississippi Queen video shows a cowbell being played. New Order's Perfect Kiss --should be cued up to just before the cowbell section.

This is one of the few things I like about AI. Ask Google, "what is the difference between bitmap graphics and vector graphics." and even if it's not 100% accurate down to the very detailed level, you can get a relatively quick answer that often has a reasonable "close enough" answer for people without expert knowledge looking for the gist of an answer. Clicking on Workspaces seems to have its own independent countdown timer (from around 8 or 9) just like the initial splash page.
