nothing can beat those 10 for 1 I've been part of a few years ago on the other hand there's not much left for me to pick up, just the EQ PA alone LOL... and now the new compress... comprexxor perhaps they could mix some T-Racks with Sampletank/Amplitube stuff in a group buy again
-
I have bought my Sunset Studio reverb on the recent sale as it was too hard to pass by when using jam points so I was like "good bye group buy" LOL but now I'm really starting thinking about it again, will there be a group buy this year...? hopefully yes?

Up to some point Behringer had an excellent high quality ASIO driver developed by Ploytec for most of their interfaces. Later on they replaced it quietly with something undefined, maybe their own driver, idk. So perhaps the license for the previous came to end at some point or maybe they parted ways for whatever reason. Anyway that's all I know, hope it can help understanding some of their decisions.

Trying to manipulate Console Emulator on all tracks
chris.r replied to noynekker's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
how is this 'Shift-P' supposed to work? is it a default keybinding in Cakewalk? quick grouping in ProChannel is working fine here but this 'Shift-P' doesn't work or I'm missing something? thx -
This is a tough one There was an amazing hardware chorus with a distinctive sound, ruled in the studios in 80-ties - Dyno My Piano TSC-618 Tri Stereo Chorus: https://retrogearshop.com/products/dyno-my-piano-tsc-618-tri-stereo-chorus Later it also had a few successors like Dytronics CS-5, Songbird TSC 1380 or the T.E.R.C. from Fulltone. I assume they all sound great. I actually have that one from Fulltone with my Amplitube Fulltone collection from IKM and it sounds just as beautiful as some my favorite tunes from the 80-ties but there is a problem with it: it does collapse stereo signal to mono on the input, just as the original hardware did it's a rack effect tied to a huge resource heavy chunk of a software Maybe it's a good idea to make a slick reliable plugin that could take the stereo output from our software pianos or stereo recordings as is and still sound just as good if not better. Or maybe it's not popular enough to justify the efforts, IDK Told you it's a tough one... (or a fun challenge)

Feature request: Show last point in song
chris.r replied to Moving Air Productions's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
More of those quirks also with the regular envelopes. I guess it's still a work in progress overall. The only thing is that I'm afraid it is all going the more convoluted direction and not the most simple regarding expected versus received results, at least that's how it looks like by now. If so, in future it may result in many traps here and there when quick editing, even for the more experienced users not only beginners, where you will edit for example a note event and something different somewhere else, like an envelope at the other end of clip, will get 'corrupted' as an result without you even noticing it. -
Feature request: Show last point in song

I've noticed that since the new Tempo Track a tempo node is added at the end of the project every time I right click>'Reset Tempo Map' or 'Clear All' in the Tempo Track assuming there's none already. It's a little bit puzzling. -
Cakewalk Stays In Memory After Exit / Cannot Re-Launch
chris.r replied to Adam Grossman's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
That actually looks like interface driver conflict as opposed to what seems happening in my case or the topic starter. In my case Cakewalk Application stays in Background Processes occupying around 685MB of memory. @ADUS do you use any particular plugins/soft synths when this is happening? -
Cakewalk Stays In Memory After Exit / Cannot Re-Launch
chris.r replied to Adam Grossman's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
I just recently wrote in another thread about this same exactly problem that I have: For me it's more a combination of these plugins is the problem rather than driver. How can I check it? -
I'm getting this recently, when closing Cakewalk I can watch in Task Manager how it's moved from Apps to Background Processes and staying there until I right click on it and kill the process. The combination of plugins is Amplitube 4, Waves Echosphere and UVI Workstation. When I close Cakewalk with any of the mentioned plugin alone it's moved quickly to Background Processes and then vanishing from there quickly so it seems fine but if I create a track from Track Template containing the combination of these plugins Cakewalk will dwell in Background Processes on closing and I won't be able to run it again until I kill the process first. I was going to create a new topic on this but this title simply matches perfectly.

For the record, there's always a way to download previous installers from the AAS website, in case all other solutions fail.

Did anyone compare closely Phoenixverb and Nimbus, apart from the extra features added in Nimbus are they both sounding exactly the same in their basics? Thx

I remember one of the reasoning for left hand chords/right hand strumming for a guitar library was that when playing on a guitar you're basically doing the same, that is playing chords with your left hand and strumms with right so it's more natural that way. I'm not sure offhand but I think it was Acousticsamples. And I kinda get it, but I can see how people would like it to be the other way. Also some libraries do allow us to move the keyswitches freely, I think it was also Acousticsamples . EDIT: LOL posting at the same time with Paulo ?

Also missing some more refined/sophisticated muted patterns. I think Musiclab was good at it, but also higher priced. Typically a keyboard player will play these chords in a form of voicings that work in context of a given song (to avoid excessive stretching or overcrowding with notes)... can be done with a single hand too.
-
Popular keyboard arrangers like Yamaha PSR series are always accompaniment with left hand and melody right hand.

What this time. Last update 3.0.19 I've done just yesterday was a fix for a regression introduced in 3.0.18. These times.
-
Oh yes Pettinhouse and also Ilia Efimov, but I don't do Kontakt. Might need to at some point. I'm only Player .
-
I was looking for one where you could build your own patterns and still keep it sounding realistic, not artificial. I think this is the first one that I could accept the quality. OTS are brilliant for melodic stuff but I'm exhausted from fighting it's pattern sequencer for anything more ambitious there. I was getting desperate to give him an idea for creating a strum oriented library... like this one above . Still missing the spanish and ability for slow strums like in the song ending.

At last. Are there any good known alternatives already?

Would be interesting to see it for Windows but I'm not sure doing it they are going to open the Pandora's box

That I actually can see in a positive light. I like MuseScore and it's brilliant for what price they're asking.
