Thanks, that would be my understanding too. I'm fine with it when editing clip content including envelopes. But would more expect the clip envelope being connected to the grid when editing some clip content, like just the notes, so it won't change/move while doing edit (ie. clip ends stay with the envelope versus envelope being moved with clip end). It seems all fine when dragging whole clip.

And what is your alternative for R-Bass? AFAiK there are no alternatives for it. The ones considered as an alternative do sound too much different to me.

Also some of these issues, like the above, are happening in the audio/midi track envelopes as well. There is also this. If I double click in an empty space in the tempo track, all nodes get highlighted (selected) for a short moment and then unselected right away the moment I'm releasing mouse button (the second click). Wasn't it supposed to select all nodes in a track when double clicking, but now it's broken? If not, then please consider adding it (and also 'Select All' and/or 'Select All Nodes' under right menu). Additionally all the normal audio/midi envelopes would also benefit from it, and also the controller lines in PRV? (sorry I had to).

That's a progress. I always thought it's still on alpha.

I'd like to stay offline with my music production machine all the time but now, with the new Windows 10 system it's not an option anymore. With their feature updates every 6 months they may eventually break old ways of working for some programs and then the developers have to adjust with their software updates to make things rolling again. So, you either stay offline on an older Windows version and won't be able to update other programs or you risk breaking compatibility - like Cakewalk is constantly being updated and maintained but officially requires the most recent Windows 10 version - or you're spending way too much time updating all your software every week and sometimes fighting issues from it instead of just doing music. Bad choice.

Something is blocking the mouse pointer from turning into shelf tool if two nodes are close to each, like less than 2 beats apart, and one of the nodes is close to the top. Double clicking while in shelf mode can make the tempo envelope go funky. This is a mystery to me. I wish someone could shine some light on it. When moving the whole envelope with shelf tool why sometimes is the extra node at the end created and sometimes not? It's very inconsistent in my experience. Either it's a bug or I'm really missing something, wish someone could point me where I can read in detail about it what is going on here. I would expect nothing get created at the end. Perhaps it's a case similar to the 'phantom' node mystery I posted earlier...? Thx

Remember there is no more VST2 licensing available for new plugins so one can only keep his VST2 stuff until it will eventually get discontinued, that's a fact. The future must be VST3 regardless.

Is happening to me as well since Cakewalk versions dating months back so it's nothing new with this release at least for my case. Plugins involved are Waves Echosphere, IK Amplitube 4, UVI Workstation or most likely a combination of these. I'll send a dump too but it's huge about 300megs after heavy compression.

How can I stop Cakewalk outsmarting the user at MIDI export ?
chris.r replied to Richie_01's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Ooooh I so with there was a lever in TTSSEQ.INI... (!)? -
My son is having music tech in his school where they teach how to operate Cubase and Ableton Live yet the teacher asked lately to create bandlab accounts and I was like whaat? I remember seeing only Macs in the class room there when I was last time about 2 years ago but now he says they've swapped to Windows.

that's my second nature

Should be a standard feature in Cakewalk's bandlab integration before long.

Started considering myself lucky that I missed out the upgrade to Chromaphone 3 Although I completely appreciate the upgraded sound of the new version and the soundbanks and I find it worth upgrading once past the issues.

Reads like the best supplement for the most paranoid ones.

I had been downloading the whole Sampletank library recently and it was 260GB for me for the whole she-bang.
-
From my correspondence with uJam, the reasoning for it was that Cakewalk is Windows only. Period.

200GB for just 2-3 SD3 kits?! ? What are they doing with so much storage? They don't keep spare cables there, do they...

This was my experience with Synthmaster recently. I had to quickly develop a new habit to check if all instances sound the way they should each time on project load. Reloading solved the problem.

some of my friends are so tech resistant that if you ask them to 'take the mouse' they'll prepare a cage and get some fodder yet they are great singers... no, seriously I'd prefer them to simply cut a vocal track on their phones and invite me to collaboration on bandlab, that's much more feasible having dedicated forum here could be a bonus just need to think out how to avoid confusion with the DAW names

Like taking the snake oil orally?

How do I snap an audio clip to precisely fit my tempo beats?
chris.r replied to Arthur H's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
that tells me your global on/off for SNAP is still off.. click that big SNAP button up on your control bar so it goes lit (in Cakewalk you can turn off snap completely for a free hand) -
Drum Loops from Bandlab have warped tempos, how do I fix it?
chris.r replied to Arthur H's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
Arthur, you definitely need to watch some @Xel Ohh youtube tutorials on this... try searching for "loops cakewalk" or "beats cakewalk"
