I emailed UA tech support Thursday but have not heard back. If they come through great, I'll pick up their Pultec Collection. It's not that it's not worth $39, it's just I that I already have multiple other Pultec VSTs from various developers. They're not Pokémon, I'd don't have to collect them all.

I'll probably use RG as an idea sketching/ song writing tool because it loads fast and does a couple of things OK (off the top steel string acoustic strumming & power chords). Yeah there may be better sounding alternatives but sometimes I don't want to bother either whipping out a guitar or loading Kontakt for just sketching something out. Anyway YMMV. Maybe subconsciously I felt I had to justify spending around $15 (I used BestService credits to kick price down a couple of bucks) or maybe I was just bored but I'm tired of this thread. Peace out.

v1.5 was released in April 2010 and it seems that latest videos are spawned from that release. Latest release is v1.6 and I can't find announcement or change list for it. V1.6 possibly/probably added at least VST3 support (based on 2010 being too early for VST3) and NKS support. Build dates on the v1.6 installers (one with NKS support the other without) exe are Feb 3rd, 2023. RG.vst3 file date is 7/15/21 Yeah, same here...

Fired it up on Ableton. Ditto on both comments and it seemed a bit sluggish to boot. Maybe because it was the first time running it in Ableton. Will have to play with it more when I have time to see if it's worth keeping.

Download on https://www.sonible.com/my-account/ ~~~~~~ Thanks. If found that I had missed updates for TrueBalance, Freiraum, & SmartLimit If you own multiple Sonible plugins updating is a real pain. Wish that Sonible listed the latest version & release date on their website download page or even offer a centralized installer.

They've pulled the %20 coupon from my account too. The coupon had said it was for first time purchases - so it even being in my account was probably a glitch.

Isn't this the same deal?
-
What coupon(s) did you guys receive? I see a new "20% off First Purchase" in my account (aside from the "PULTEC50" coupon).
-
The fix also helped long load times with NA 2.
-
I finally opened a ticket with NI because I was having horrendous issue with load times for both NA and Kontakt. They suggested the following which vastly improved things. I only ended up doing the first half (prior to ~~~~~) but now they load in around a minute instead of 5 to 10 minutes.

I suspected the pricing was a glitch (either that or they were allocated a limited number to sell at that price) and that all of these sales will sooner than later evaporate. Some of the voicings/patches are crap but I like a couple (like the steel string acoustic strumming) enough that I thought it was worth picking up and so I grabbed a copy after seeing Walter's post. @PavlovsCat raises some good points though I strongly disagree with at least couple of his choices. But as they say YMMV, what works for me may not work as well for you.
-
This video is more hands-on and a lot less talky than the previous one I posted.
-
Must have been one of those mispricing flash in the pan deals - price now $79 Shame, the demo videos sound decent.
-
I did not get one (another $25 coupon) for my $14 purchase of DBX 160... Let me know how UA responses.
-
Already spent my $25 voucher on the DBX160, so unless they do PA style coupon reactivation I'm sitting on the sidelines for this one.
-
All of pending* updates on my system already required Kontact 7.6 - so that not new for me. The only new change is Support for NKS2 navigation. *Noire, Stradivari Cello, Stradivari Violin

(not a deal) Had to switch to Brave Browser to create a post

If I did I didn't think there was an issue... -
I took a look at my GForce SM and remembered why I never use it. It's so incredibly meeeehhh. The GUI sucks, the presets suck, there's no easy way to audition the individual voices or presets that do exist. The final release feels like an Alpha that got pushed into final release because they didn't want to spend more money on development. If I knew what every component synth sounded like where I could approach things as a chef - this tune needs a dash of 30% Roma tomatoes / 70% Campari tomatoes, I'd be more impressed. Of course YMMV (but I doubt it).

The vocal samples sound familiar... anyone know the original source?
