Who the hell does NI think they are - Apple? ? -
^^ Yes, you can uninstall UA Connect and they will still run fine. I did that after I got the 1st synth, but as I started collecting them (UAD plugins) I just left it installed. At some point I may uninstall it again, depends on how often they update their plugins.

or it may have nothing to do with it... Labs currently has 62 instruments - that's a lot of time/money spent on a freebie. Could be that the cost of developing new freebies is no longer viewer as an effective use of capital or maybe they're running out of good ideas for new ones and don't want to start throwing crap into the pond. or they're just diverting talent into upcoming projects that'll generate $.

Around BF we should see the All Access Pass offered for between $90 - $100 if they remain true to past history.

20 hours ago, @Lionel said (from the older thread on this plugin): Drew [from UAD] also mentions: It’s the silver algo with the legacy GUI. We've removed the Mix control and fixed the Emphasis control in a sweet spot. So it's kind of an 'easy' version of the Silver and has a full preset list - slightly different presets from Silver (some but not others, and some unique presets).

28% off Blue Cat Re-Head, Head-Response Plug-In
TheSteven replied to Scott R. Garrigus's topic in Deals
Not as easy as it sounds. The problem with shell plugins like Waves is that you need VST scanner (not a file browser) to access the plugin list of the contained plugins and that would take a lot of overhead (a scanner, a database of some kind to hold the data, maintenance options i.e. when to scan, etc.) and somewhere there'd be time lag penalty when it did the scan where a lot of users would think PatchWork was broken or buggy. So even though I have Wave's Mercury I don't blame BlueCat for not having a more elegant solution. If your Waves WUP is up to date on all your Waves plugins you can ignore all the older pre15 (or whatever version they're on right now) WaveShell versions and that will cut down what you'll need to check out. -
Get this instead - it's FREE Kilohearts - Reverser Similar experience. I demo'd Mirror last time it was on sale and immediately deleted it from my system. If you're still interested do yourself a favor and try the demo: https://unitedplugins.com/Mirror

Very nice. But @ $3,500 - not in my budget. I think that's more than my car is worth...

I don't have the GEM version but I've heard it's CPU use is lower AND it has features (Mid/Side control, parallel compression, multilevel undo-redo, etc.) not in the UAD versions.
-
That's a good one. I've used it on a couple of projects.

Now that words out they're probably experiencing high traffic. Yes, I received it. But didn't need it as it immediately appeared in my account and I already had the UA installer installed. If you haven't installed it yet, get it here: https://www.uaudio.com/downloads/ua-connect then install it, run it (will need to activate with you UAD account info, iLok account info, etc.).

(not a deal) Native Access to 3.6.2 update issue (RESOLVED)
TheSteven replied to GTsongwriter's topic in Deals
Re: your comment... They should just have a friggin menu item under the gear/settings Help menu - "Rebuild/Reset databases" It would save users and their tech support much aggravation. Stupid not to. -
(not a deal) Native Access to 3.6.2 update issue (RESOLVED)
TheSteven replied to GTsongwriter's topic in Deals
Dunno... I started with Komplete 3 just kept upgrading as time went along but when my previous audio computer died screaming "Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" x infinity, I had to put it down and get another rig. It's now buried in my closet among the honored pile of dead hardware that for some reason I'm still keeping. When I put together my new system I think K11 was out, I installed it and I just backfilled (separately installed) any missing plugins/libraries that I considered important but that were no longer included. -
(not a deal) Native Access to 3.6.2 update issue (RESOLVED)
TheSteven replied to GTsongwriter's topic in Deals
Glad you got it worked out. I didn't have that issue after upgrading. -
You mean should you spend the money on a free plugin/version? I would, but that's me. If you have the collection (the set of 3) it's kind of an 'easy' version of the Silver. It's very similar to Silver version in the collection, but has slightly different presets (some but not others, and some unique presets). and All UAD Natives use iLok, but dongle isnt' required

$12.50 for Xfade - Simple Crossfader for your DAW
TheSteven replied to Larry Shelby's topic in Deals
Before you layout money for this If you ever signed up for something at https://www.stagecraftsoftware.com (Stagecraft makes XTrack) You might have a $50 credit in your account to spend. If unsure do the "I lost my password" routine and if you have an account they'll email you your password. I must have signed up for one of their freebies ages ago and in May of 2023 they deposited $50 in my account. So XFade didn't end up costing me anything. Test the demo and see if it works for you. Looks like it can cross fade between one track and one to three samples but not between 2 tracks (at least not with Cakewalk). Maybe in a DAW other than Cakewalk it'll work for you. -

Are these life skills that you can apply directly to running your own recording studio and /or improve your music production techniques? Watching the walk-through the similarities are chilling...

Not ignoring your question just not sure what you mean by ‘those’ Luftrum has some nice sounding stuff and this looks like a decent sale.
