I avoided them for years because installing the PACE/iLok software way back when did indeed present me with lots of problems that I didn't have beforehand that magically disappeared as soon as I uninstalled it. I was persuaded a few years back to try again as the PACE software was ok now, so I did and everything works as it should on win 7, so I guess it must be a win 10 issue.

Nice. Feels like it could be an extended intro to something that gets loud and heads off in a whole different direction.

This has a very cinematic quality to it - I could easily imagine this set to some kind of slo-mo dream sequence / memory / recap scene. I do like textural pieces, though some can be a bit boring to me if they go on too long, but you managed to keep it interesting.

Should have gone for the non-stick keyboard and monitor.

I'm no expert, but I suspect that frying them in a regular non-coated pan wouldn't do them much good either...

It's time...............? Stevie Wonder was on a world tour and was playing his first gig in Tokyo. The place was absolutely packed to the rafters. In a bid to break the ice with his new audience he asked if anyone would like him to play a request. A little old Japanese man jumped out of his front row seat and shouts "Play a Jazz chord! Play a jazz chord!" Amazed that this guy knew about the jazz influences in Stevie's varied career, the blind impresario started to play an E minor scale and then went into a difficult jazz melody. When he finished the whole place went wild. The little old man jumped up again and shouted "No, no, play a Jazz chord, play a Jazz chord!" Although a little annoyed by this, being the professional that he is, Stevie dived straight into a jazz improvisation with his band around the B flat minor chord and really tore the place apart. The crowd went wild with this impromptu show of his technical expertise. However, the little old man jumped up again. "No, no, no! Play a Jazz chord, play a jazz chord!" Stevie was by now really annoyed that this guy didn't seem to appreciate his playing ability, so said to him from the stage "OK wise guy, you get up here and do it!" The little old man climbed up onto the stage, took hold of the mike and started to sing.......... "A jazz chord to say I ruv you…"

[Solved] How do I use an external synthesizer as a MIDI controller?
paulo replied to tdehan's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
The output of your midi track needs to be set to whatever synth you want it to trigger. -
I just did exactly that for the same reason. In the last year they gained something like 30 million new subscribers because of lockdowns and the increase in revenue plus what they didn't spend on making new content led to a very healthy increase in their share price and still they had the cheek to increase prices.

AAS "version 3" products unusable; AAS support unresponsive???
paulo replied to ChristopherM's topic in Cakewalk by BandLab
1. Yes been using them all since respective releases with no issues. (win 7 though) 2. No idea whatsoever. However, I can tell you that AAS support is usually first rate, so I would try again in case you've slipped through a crack somewhere. I had an email from Marc within about an hour last week (Sunday no less) with an answer to an enquiry I made. Also, AAS issued updates for v.3 products in the last few days, so if you don't have them yet, might be worth a try. -

That's why I tried it, but it's really not very good. I'd rather have the $16. -

Have you actually tried it? The expansions are not in the demo, so I can't say anything about them, but the demo version itself really doesn't have much going for it. The only thing I liked was how easy it was to mix in a little white/pink noise which was just as well as it needed that to improve most of the sounds a little. If anyone else tries it, be aware that the default volume setting for most presets is louder than hell. -
