I guess that name must sound more appetising in German... ?

I've often wondered how hungry the first guy who ever looked at a pig covered in...let's say mud...and wondered what it tasted like must have been.

The idea is that the saying is often misinterpreted to mean that apple pie is as quintessentially American as anything can be, invented by Americans for Americans if you like, where in fact it was something that pre-existed what we know today as America and was something that was brought to America by the people of other nations that settled there, so by saying that something is "as American as apple pie" it's really like saying that it's not really American, that it's origins lie elsewhere. Something like that anyway.

Maybe for others, but personally speaking that's never once been a factor in my purchasing decisions.

It probably is time to draw a line around the subject. Sir Cumscribe.

When you feel the need to explain it.............. etc...... ?

At least that's was the reason he gave for his driving around in circles when he was arrested on suspicion of DUI. However, in the court hearing, the judge wouldn't accept this evidence as being convincing proof of his innocence. Sir Cumstantial

One eyed Bob........?

Wow, he really seemed to be struggling to come up with a witty name by that point. If only he had been a trifle more adept in the art of loquaciousness like his long lost brother of his father Sir Cumlocution

I didn't get the email, maybe because I already have them (although with izotope that could also be more luck than judgement) but I think it depends how you read it.... I didn't read it as the Tonal Balance Bundle is $79, more that TBB includes these plug-ins that are $79 each, but that said, I suspect that it's probably worded that way on purpose.
-
IIRC the phrase "As American as Apple Pie" is actually a reference to being non American.
-
Was that before or after he worked (using a nom de plume) with Belinda Carlisle ? Sir Cullinthesand.
-
No, that was another guy. This guy was very wary of Sir Cumstance. Sir Cumspect.
-
Nope. For some reason I've always found them quite easy to resist.

I always figure that if I didn't want the deal it when I first saw it, then I'm pretty unlikely to want it whenever it expires so it doesn't really make any difference to me.

A legend amongst men.........Everyone else just thunk it...... Anyhoo, following his rather unusual punishment that, it has to be said, didn't really seem to fit his "crime" and fearing further retribution from Greta's goons he decided to change his name again and take a trip round the world...... Sir Cumnavigated. (Little did he realise that by doing so he was risking their further ire as travel also greatly angers them - unless it's to travel to a meeting to moan about people who travel unnecessarily - but the irony of that was totally lost on him)
-
Later he went on to become the Knight that found a way to bypass the Round Table. Sir Cumvented.

Frozen synths in instrument tracks in my case.

I've always thought that it's funny how to say that someone " really followed through there" can be both an admirable quality and also a very bad thing.
-
For some reason I expected a more orange looking thing.* * Disclaimer: Until just now I have never seen a pumpkin pie.
-
In my experience it didn't like frozen synths very much.

Craigb is very proud of his inability to round up tho.......

Mostly to remind myself why my walls are not adorned with multiple platinum selling discs. -
